Chapter 6 ~ engineers

Grays pov

Me and Romeo find an engineer lab and it has everything an engineer needs, more stuff than I imagined. 'Okay Romeo, first we are going to start with watch trackers'

'What are watch trackers?' He asked and I just chuckled shaking my head.

'Watch trackers is this' I revealed the watch on my wrist. It's the one that tells me if a zombie or a human is coming. 'It tells you if a zombie is close and if a human is close' I explained and Romeo looked at the watch chuckling 'my dad taught me how to make stuff like this, come on, let's get making' I said and Romeo nodded and we grabbed some stuff ready to make the watch trackers.

Romeos POV

Me and gray have been working on these watch trackers for a while, so far we have made 9 so far, we just need to make two more. It's actually really easy I like making these watch trackers. 'So gray, when we've done this, are we gonna do weapons next?' I asked and gray hummed along in a positive way.

'Yeah, and I have some badass ideas' he said making us both laugh. We carried on finishing the watch trackers, I can't wait to make these gadgets.

Natsu's POV

I wake up from my nap and see juvia staring at patient 0 who seems to be calm for now. I sigh and decide to check on gray and Romeo since I'm the leader. 'Natsu' I stop walking and see juvia eyeing me and I walk towards the bluenette who sat on the floor, opposite zee.

'Yeah?' I asked and juvia just looked at me and smiled.

'Why don't we kill him?' She asked and I just shrugged in response. 'I mean, wouldn't that make life easier'

'It would but, I think Lucy wants him alive right now, since levy is making a cure with Wendy, they might test it out for him' I said and juvia just nodded again looking at the zombie jotting down notes. That's when I decided to leave and go see gray and Romeo.

I walked in the lab hearing them two laughing and joking around. And see a load of watches on the large table they were working on. 'What's going on?' I asked and they looked up at me calming down.

'Oh nothing, just joking around. Me and Romeo made some watch trackers' gray responded and I just looked at him in a blank way.

'What's that?' I asked in quite a rude tone and Romeo came close to me with one around his wrist.

'It's a touch screen watch which tells you the time'

'I'm well aware of what a watch does' I answered and gray rolled his eyes of annoyance.

'Yeah but, it also reveals a map where ever we walk-'

'GPs got that'

'And it also tells you if a zombie is coming or if a human is coming your way. The red dots mean zombies and the green dots mean humans. Blue dots are people who have been bitten' Romeo explained and I looked at gray and chuckled.

'Yeah they're okay, but have you done weapons yet?' I asked and they just looked at me as if I'm being a complete douche.

'We're starting that tomorrow, I just need to add some more tweeks to the watches and then I'll do weapons' gray said and I just put my hand on my chin. 'Problem'

'Oh nothing, work on your own time' I said and walked back to the meeting room where Lucy was writing ingredients.

Grays pov

Me and Romeo finally finished the watch trackers and called everyone to the meeting room. When everyone sat down me and Romeo walked around giving each person a watch tracker. 'So what are these?' Gajeel asked and me and Romeo put the empty boxes down and looked at everyone.

'These are watch trackers, they are digital, it tells you if there are zombies coming and we can talk to each other on these watches, no wifi needed, it's all just the amazing mind of gray' I explained and everyone chuckled.

'How do you contact people?' Juvia asked and Romeo was ready to talk.

'There should be a purple icon with a bright yellow C, if you click that it has all of our names on it, for example..' Romeo pressed my contact and my watch began ringing, the girls gasped excitedly and the guys just did impressed nods. 'We can also do group calls too, all you do is click multiple contacts and then the phone icon which means ring' Romeo explained and the girls clapped lightly making us chuckle.

'So how does the watch know a zombie is coming?' Levy asked and I smiled at her.

'Well, on the home screen, there is a blue icon with a white M on it, if you click that, a map shows up' I said and everyone checked the icon out. 'As you can see, it tells you where we are, those green dots are us, and you see Zee over there, if you walk towards him, a red dot will appear meaning that's a zombie. The green dots mean humans and light blue dots mean people changing. You can also check others by searching in the contact name and check where they are and how they are doing' I explained and juvia just wrote these things down whilst everyone just studied me and Romeo.

'We are going to start the weapons tomorrow, we just need two types of weapons you would like. We will hang it on the wall, feel free to write down your weapon choice next to your names' Romeo added pinning the piece of paper up on the wall.

'Awe well done you little engineers' Lucy giggled giving us both a hug. 'I think you should rest right now, you did a great job' I noticed her blush and everyone chuckled and got back to what they were doing.

I'm very proud of me and Romeo. I never thought we would get them done in time, at least jellal will be able to use it when he goes out to get food tomorrow.

I clean the engineering lab ready for tomorrow and went back to the meeting room where the kids were sleeping. I walked back out and saw juvia tightening the chains on Zee. 'Need help'

'No, it's fine, me and my buddy Zee are happily getting along' she joked and I just chucked awkwardly. 'Do you think I'm dumb?' Well that was sudden. I just paused for a second and I watched her look quite upset.

'I don't think your dumb, you just don't think sometimes' ouch

Juvia just nodded along looking a bit angry but she was holding it in 'okay, thanks for being honest' she picked up her journal and walked to the meeting room. I looked back at Zee who was staring at me, why isn't he growling or screaming? I walk closer to him and the pen he growled loudly making me jump and run into the meeting room.

It's been a long day, I'm so glad I can finally sleep.

Okay guys this chapter was meant to be jellal going into the town and finding food and it was meant to be really gory, but I wanted gray and Romeo to have the spotlight today. The next chapter will be gory.

The next update will be Friday. But I have a day off tomorrow so I might publish then, haven't decided yet.

I hope you liked this chapter. I tried making the end funny between gray and Zee.
