Chapter 30 ~ Change

Jellals pov

I sit there weakly. My skin was sweating cold but my body was burning. I still held onto the cure in my left hand just staring at it. My scratched wounds were sizzling and throbbing with the ELL slowly changing me. My vision was getting blurry and my head was murdering me. Is this what Meredy felt like? If I had bullets in my gun I would shoot myself now.

I have to wait longer. I have to wait until my entire vision is black but still have enough memory to inject the cure in it. Either way I would still be a zombie but I would be like Lyon. Let's hope.

My body then starts to shake viscous way, I could feel blood trail out of my eyes And foam gushing out my mouth. My veins felt swollen and I had no control in my other hand.

Natsus pov

We all just stood there crying. Why would he do this to himself. Jellal you idiot why?

Is this his way of giving up for when we were so close to stopping this.

What are we gonna do now?

Narrator pov

It was silent in both floors. The group who is still alive is crying whilst they watched the caring one of all transform into a monster that truly gave everyone nightmares. That made everyone angry for their kind being eaten. But that was when he was transforming. Jellal now is laying on the floor, still as if he were a corpse ready to be cut and stuffed.

His eyes opened and one was completely white and the other had his usual brown eye colour. He tried to get up but easily lost his balance.

On the top floor the others were confused on what's happening. Sherry looked at noticed the cure sitting on the desk. She didn't give it all to the guys because she still wants to test to see if it will be successful or improved and since the one jellal had was smashed, she knew that if she got this shot all ready, jellal will be normal again.

Jellal stared at the scientist zombie and he just stared back. Obviously jellal is half zombie at this point so the monster in front of him wasn't doing anything but staring at him. Jellal staggered closer to the zombie but something was weird.
Something was strange.
The zombie started to back away as if he was scared of what's in front of him.

Jellal grunted and walked to the glass door and the other zombies did the same thing. The human side of jellal was able to unlock the door and escape. The gang of zombies screeched and backed away from jellal and let him pass them.

Upstairs, everyone was still very confused on how the zombies were reacting to jellal. 'What's going on?' Toby asked and natsu chuckled looking closer at the screen.

'He's made himself the leader of the pact. He's making the zombies fear him since he's different from them' natsu explained and everyone chuckled with amazement and disbelief.

'But look, they are following him' yuka said and everyone looked back at natsu who still smiled.

'They are obeying him. Like I said, he's leader of the pact' and with that jellal was already second floor up from his team of friends and met up with the other half of zombies who chased the boys up the four floors. They all gave him looks as if they would kill him there and then but something was stopping them. They seemed scared of going near him. But brave enough to follow their new leader.

Jellal made it to the door which was safely locked and he violently banged it to get the others attention. He was growling and grunting trying to get all their attention and he saw a blurry vision of his three best friends unlocking the double doors.

The doors slowly opened and the zombies were ready to feast but when jellal turned around he growled and screeched angrily making the zombies back away with fear. Gajeel and gray quickly closed the doors and locked them again whilst natsu held the halfbreed for support.

Natsus pov

We walked jellal back up and had to put him in the second glass box next to the other zombie who was being tested. We both stared at them communicating by screaming at each other and I was now sat watching them both in confusion especially jellal. 'What's wrong natsu?' Gray asked me and I just shrugged.

'Dunno, why didn't he attack us, he's a zombie now isnt he?' I sadly spoke and gray chuckled sitting next to me.

'Oh he's a zombie alright. But look carefully. Only one of his eyes are Zombified. His body doesn't smell like death. He only has the effort to act like a monster but had the mind of jellal. That's why he didn't kill us and that's why the zombies feared him because they sensed that he was different' gray explained and I just sat there looking at jellal wondering around the glass box zombie mode until he spotted us. Weakly he put up his hand to wave but his arms were to heavy for him to properly hold up and wave. It made me gray and gajeel laugh and we just walked to the others who contacted the girls and Romeo.

'And is he okay?' Erza panicked and we all looked at her confused. She didn't care that much about him before.

'Yeah he's fine, he gave us a weak wave' I replied and she sighed with relief.

'Yeah Lyon does that a lot, he's the same as jellal, he can notice people now' Lucy said and I just smiled. I wanna see her In real life so badly. I miss that girl so much.

'Well I was able to fix some more of that cure together which will defiantly change jellal for real. It will take a while to kick in though' sherry explained and everyone giggled happily.

'One step closer to humanity being saved guys. We'll be home before you know it' gray said and gave them all a wink. The chat ended suddenly and it confused us a bit but then remembered that the calls have a limit.

'Okay let's get jellal back' sherry said and opened his glass door. Toby and yuka had to hold each arm which was a struggle because it angered jellal a bit. Sherry quickly got the needle and injected it just under his pulse on his neck. It knocked the guy out but his skin was slightly turning back to normal. And his veins were Unswelling.

Jellal was carried back into the glass box and all we had to do was wait.

And hope to see if he will truly come back to normal.

Please change him back to normal jellal!

Okay guys I was thinking of killing jellal off but then I watched world war Z and decided not to. Let's just say jellal is the brad Pitt at the moment I just changed it a bit so I'm not completely copying.
Hope you liked this chapter it was quite tricky for me to write it but hey ho and least it's published and written.
This story is almost finished. Two or one more chapter to go. And then I'll focus on the other stories I abandoned.
