Chapter 17 ~ we'll miss you

Natsus POV

We watched lucy calm Wendy down because she might have to be out down. I decided to kneel down but lucy pushed me away 'get lost natsu, this is all your fault'
'How was it my fault, I didn't call the zombies to attack'
'Well if you never left, we wouldn't be in this situation'
'Either way, we are all going to die Beverly Hills, so get used to it'
'YOU TWO SHUT UP' levy shouted making us both quiet and I just scoffed.

'Lucy I'm scared' the bluenette whimpered and lucy cried putting Wendy on her lap. 'You were like a mother to me' she cried and lucy cried with a broken giggle.
'Hey, what would your real mother think about that'
'She would thank you, for being there for me' Wendy's skin began to sweat and she held levys hand. 'Levy, you were the best big sister I ever had in my life, thank you'
Everyone circled around her and juvia stroked her hair to keep her calm. 'You have been the best sister in the world bluebell' levy whispered with tears and I just felt bad.

'Erza and juvia, you too have been like sisters, always caring and protecting. I love you'

'I love you too wendy'
'I love you lil sis' erza and juvia said at the same time giving her a kiss on the cheek on either side.

'Guys, you have been the best brothers a sister could have. But Romeo, I kinda liked you' we all chuckled when she said that. 'Natsu, don't leave us again' she whimpered and I held her hand.
'I promise. I'll stay for you' I said and she giggled weakly. Only lucy glared.

'Lucy can you tell me a story' Wendy said and lucy was crying whilst nodding.

'Once upon a time, there was a group of friends who went on a mission, at first they all hated each other but grew to love one another like family. One day the youngest was lost, but was dying and couldn't contact her friends until she heard a soft voice in the sky towards the sun. The girl looked up and saw her parents for the first time in ten years, they held out their hands and lifted the girl up to the heavens where she is safe and with her other family. Even though her friends found her in the end, they knew it was too late but also knew that she is happy where she is'. Everyone was crying at this point.

Jellal walked towards her and Wendy nodded and smiled. 'I don't want this to hurt you Wendy, I want you to feel like your falling asleep' he said and Wendy gave him a smile. 'Look up to the clouds and dream' he whispered and Wendy looked up. He got his gun ready and whispered but we couldn't hear him. I think it was the silent bullet because all we heard was a sigh from Wendy as she took her last breath.

Juvia was crying on grays shoulder whilst he cried watching. Lucy cried as Wendy's grip loosened. Romeo cried because his crush just died in front of him. Gajeel and levy cried because they were closer to her. Erza cried because she saw Wendy as a daughter and jellal cried because well he had to kill another child.

I tired to comfort lucy but she just rejected me and pushed me away whilst she carried on holding Wendy's hand. Gray then picked the corpse up and we walked to the closest burial ground.

Lucy's pov

We all stood there around the dug up grave, the boys made and we all cried because Wendy was the light in the group.
'Wendy was a great child. She was there to help us, she was there to save us and she was there to be with us' erza said as the boys started to gently drop the mud onto the child to fill up jet grave. 'Wendy was a bright gifted child who was a massive help to saving these monsters. Wendy stopped our fights and she made he smile. She made us a real family and for that, we can all say thank you to her, and thank you to god since he created a beautiful caring child for this world' erza finished her speech and we all said thank you and rest in piece for Wendy 'may you have a peaceful sleep we'll miss you'

We stood there for a few minutes in silence and decided to hit the road.
