Chapter 4 ~ lab

Natsu's POV

We have been walking for a day litually. As a team we killed......one zombie.....all together. Some may say that's good but I like killing zombies, when I was solo, I killed ten a day. It's the only thing that keeps me sane.

I was walking in front whilst all my sheep followed behind me. I'm so tired, and everyone is litually annoying the life out of me. They argue, laugh, shout, scream, this is why I don't want a team because they create noise, and they end up being the ones who are eaten by the flesh eaters. 'So leader, where are we going?' Gray asked and I rolled my eyes.

'Straight...ahead' I said and carried on walking straight. I turned around and saw everyone exhausted, I clap my hands and they look up at me. 'This is What gets you eaten, do you think you have time to rest...NO, when you are resting, do you hunk a zombie is gonna give you a head start...NO, get off you're arses and fucking move' they groaned In annoyance but I just turned around. 'Fine, get eaten, make sure you do your business first otherwise your taste will be disappointing for the zombies' and the. I started to walk straight.

'Natsu please' I turn around and see the blonde looking at me sad and tired. Those eyes, why do they make me feel guilt. I let off a sigh and walked towards the annoying team I'm stuck with.

'Fine, we can stay there, out of the open' I said pointing at a building which looked absolutely terrifying. I clapped my hands again and walked to the building. 'I don't care if you become zombie chow, but I'm going in, see ya' and with that I walked in.

Lucy's POV

We all watched natsu walk In the freaky building and jellal and meredy followed behind along with gajeel, then Erza, then gray, then me levy and Juvia at the same time because we were terrified. Romeo and Wendy ran up to natsu since they feel safe with him, when really he is trying to get away from us.

The place was so In expected, it looked brand new, and it smelt like a science lab. Well that's what levy thought......and what do you know she's right, on the bottom floor of this place was an old science lab but re decorated. We all split up and looked around the lab and studied all the things.

I brushed my hands on the large circle table and came across a book. 'What you find?' Natsu asked and I jumped because he came out of nowhere. I held my hand on my chest as I was out of breath with the little panic attack.

'Nothing, just this old book that's all' I answered quite proudly and natsu just gave me a cold awkward stare, well it made me awkward 'why are you looking at me like that'

'Oh nothing, I'm just waiting for you to open the book' I pulled an O face and did what natsu was waiting for. We read the old dusty pages and it was all past experiments.  'Ever lasting life, what's that's?' Natsu asked and I shrugged my shoulders, I looked in deeper and was able to understand the text.

My name is Michael Joanne and I plan to make everlasting life. The date is Thursday 2007 June 9th and I have a volunteer ready to try my position.

Friday 2007, the everlasting life didn't work, in fact it created something complete the opposite but still held my features. The potion I made turned the test a monster, a complete and utter monster, and its after me.

Friday June 14, I'm all alone in the lab somewhere, if anyone finds this, I have been eaten, but I need to tell you something, get out of there while you have a chance because I caught this monster as it escaped and locked up the building, it changed people to how it is, how it moves, how it talks, I've decided to call it a zombie, patient 0. But when I was able to lure it back in the lab, I made sure everything was on lock down.

Tuesday 1st July, I haven't eaten for a long time, I don't know how I'm still alive but I'll die either way, I'll die of starvation or ill die getting eaten, it's coming for me. But whilst I was here I tried to make a cure, sadly it won't be completed.

Me and Natsu just stared at the pages with complete shock. I was scared. 'Natsu'

'Hm?'

'None of us are alone, the patient 0 is still in here, somewhere'

'But where' me and natsu looked around and saw the zombie just standing there by meredy but we were just frozen solid. Well, natsu had his gun aimed behind her even though it looked like he was about to shoot her.

Meredy and jellal looked up and he had a face of anger at the pinkette 'what the hell do you think your doing' he said and natsu didn't say anything, to be honest the response he gave was putting his finger to his lips. Jellal looked behind him and quickly moved and decided to point his gun at the zombie as well, I'm surprised it never charged at us yet, it's just standing there, wavering, looking at meredy.

'Jellal what is it?' She panicked and all jellal did was the same thing as natsu.

'Don't move' he whispered and just aimed the gun.

Jellals POV

I stood there moving back with my gun aimed behind meredy and she just started crying of fear. 'It's okay, just move towards me slowly and very quietly' I said and she did so. Natsu still had his gun at the zombie. Everyone was watching and decided to do the same thing. Meredy moved but made a creak I. The floorboards. Everything froze, the zombie made a clicking noise with its throat and looked at my sister. 'Meredy run now' she ran and the zombie charged for her making us shoot at the beast.

My sister began to cry and I just shushed her like a little baby, keeping her calm. 'Jellal I'm so scared' she cried and I just felt so bad for her, no one deserves this.

'I know, but it's fine, I'm always here to protect you, I will make sure you visit the greenest fields after all this hassle' that's her dream. To go to the meadows, she's never been, and always begged me to take her, and I said I will but then the zombie invasion happened.

Everyone watched me calm my sister and gray and gajeel decided to tie the monster up after natsu and Lucy telling us that was patient 0, who knows how strong that monster is, the first ever zombie.

Lucy showed us all the book and we all stood there in a circle, looking at the old dusty pages. 'So what is it?' Juvia asked and we all face palmed.

'A diary entry of a scientist creating new inventions. He wanted to create everlasting life but accidental create that' I said pointing at the phsyco zombie which just woke back up screaming and trying to unchain it's self but failed terribly because gray tied it up with thick handcuffs and gajeel wrapped its neck And body with a massive chain against an old hospital bed stood up.

'So what do we do?' Ezra said and we all looked deeper in the book.

'Isn't it obvious' natsu said smirking 'we need to make a cure' everyone else smiled and I just looked at the book and sighed.

'And how do we do that?' Gray asked and natsu chuckled.

'By giving out job roles' and with that everyone nodded smiling.

This should be fun.

I was meant to publish two yesterday but....I was tired from work and I caught a cold and i just couldn't be bothered to write 😂
I do have collage today but I will try my best to publish the other chapter I promised you, and if I can be bothered, I'll publish another extra chapter or two.
