Chapter 4: Skate Park

Marco's POV

----AfterSchool----

I'm on my way to the skate park as usual to see Jackie Lynn Thomas, this awesome girl I have no chance with but it's always to see her and maybe say 'hi' or something. When I got to the skate park I saw Star with Janna, talking to Jackie, what? Are you serious? Why is she everywhere? *Sigh* *breathe deep* keep your cool Marco you got this you could talk to her about what happened earlier without embarrassing yourself in front of Jackie. You got this. I walked towards them nervously.

"Hey guys..."

"Where have you been Diaz"

Janna said with an evil smirk.

"Hey Marco, have you met Star, she awesome"

Jackie said putting her arm on Star' shoulder while I began to blush.

"Uh yeah we've met"

I said awkwardly and continued to blush.

"Oooh someone's blushing"

Janna said touching my cheek.

"Janna cut it out"

"Looks like Marco had a crush on Star"

Jackie said. Wait what? Not I don't!

"What nooo. Marco has a crush on you right Janna?"

Star said pointing at Jackie then looking at Janna. What the heck?! How did she know that? JANNA!!!

"What? Marco is this true?"

Jackie said looking curious.

"What uhh no"

I said nervously. Hoping this was all a dream.

"Janna you lied to me?"

Star said looking to Janna.

"Ohhh I wasn't lying..."

"Well I"m gonna go practice catch you guys later"

Jackie said awkwardly skating away from us. While I began to explode of anger.

"Why did you tell her that!?"

I yell towards Star.

"I was only saying the truth"

"Well the truth hurts, she'll probably never notice me ever again thanks to you!"

"Well I'm sorry for telling her the one thing you can't tell her!"

"Easy you two"

Janna said.

"You know I wanted to apologize to you from earlier but turns out you don't need it. Let's go Janna"

And with that they left.

Star's POV

"Uhh why is he like that!?"

"Marco? Oh he's not but for some reason to you, he is"

"Why me?"

"I don't know just stay out of his way and you'll be fine"

"I will, it's not like it's gonna be hard, he hates me."

"Yeah, but hey I like you and also Jackie likes you so that's the start."

"I gotta go home."

"Me too, I'll call you later."

"I gave you my number?"

"No, but I know it."

"Whaaaa?"

"Bye, Star"

"Bye, Janna! What a weird girl."

As I opened the big doors of our new house and walked in, mom who was standing right in front of me looks at me with a glare.

"Where we're you? Your departure was 3:00 and you come home 5:00."

"Sorry mom, I was in the skate park with my new friend Janna."

"You know the reason why we moved here is to keep you safe and now you went somewhere else after school without telling me or your father?"

"I'm sorry mom, it won't happen again, I promise"

"Good to hear or else you will have to be homeschooled again."

"No please"

"Okay now go to your room."

"Yes mom"
