Star's POV
So far the dinner was okay...I guess, mom and Mrs. Diaz have been talking about our family history, so is dad, talking to Mr. Diaz, cracking a bunch of jokes, while me and Marco remain quiet while we eat. Should I talk to him?...yes...no...maybe?...I don't know but maybe mom was right, I should give him a chance. Okay, okay here I go.
"So umm Marco what do you like to do during spare time?"
Marco slightly blushed, he looked sooooo nervous when I started to talk. Mom looked at me knowing I did something right.
"I uhh I-uhh do rakate-uhhh I mean uhhh karate and I like to cook."
He stuttered so much with one sentence. Mom and dad looked at him, impressed. Wait. Why are they impressed? I could fight, not specifically karate but I could.
"Oh yes, Marco loves to cook he got it from me."
Mr. Diaz proudly said.
"Marco may I ask, can you play defence?"
Mom asked.
"Uhh sure. Why?"
Marco answered while my parents looked at each other with a smirk.
"We were thinking since Star is new here that she might need a bodygaurd, someone to guide her and protect her."
"Wait, what are you saying mom?"
"I'm thinking of hiring Marco to be your bodygaurd."
"WHAT?!!!?"
I looked at Marco's parents and froze, knowing what I said was offensive.
"Uhh I mean sure, if he wants."
"What do you say Marco, my boy?"
Dad asked. While Marco looked at his parents. His parents gave a nod.
"Uhh sure."
Dammit. Not that I don't want to hang with him, I did give him a chance but I could defend myself, I could fight, I don't need a bodygaurd.
"Great! You will start tomorrow."
Wait..what TOMORROW? I froze.
"Isn't that too soon Mrs. Butterfly, I mean we barely even know each other."
"Exactly that's why you have to start tomorrow to get to know our daughter. And please call me Moon. We'll pay you $300 per week."
"Oh you don't have to pay me anything."
"Nonsense my boy, trust me it's going to be worth it."
Dad insisted.
"Dad!?"
I complained.
"What? You're reckless and irresponsible, that's what our employees say."
"Dad!?"
Marco's POV
I can't believe I'm gonna be her bodygaurd. Well not that I want to ya' know, but it's a great start to becoming her friend...right? But I have to play it cool like a misunderstood bad boy...yeah
