Chapter 28: Shoot Me And I'll Shoot Him

Marco's POV

I arrived at this creepy looking ally, well this is the placed he told me to meet him... Anyways I try to look for him, until I see this man with his back turned.

"Uhh excuse me sir, have you see a tall guy who looks like a lawyer?"

The guy didn't turn to see me but instead grabbed my arm and did not let go.

"Ouch hey! Let go of me!"

He taped my mouth shut and my hands together, and dragged me inside a van with people in black masks. I'm scared to be honest. I wonder if my parents will ever find me.

Star's POV

I ran back home to tell my parents that Toffee has Marco.

"We know Star" mom said.

"What how?" I ask

"Here"

They handed me a letter threatening us that they he will kill marco if we did not give him our company.

"Mom, dad we have to do something, we need to save marco!" I said

"What can we do star? We can't call the police. You know what Toffee is capable of if we didn't escape from him the first time we would already have our heads." mom said.

"And we can't hand him our company it's your mother's family's business and it has stand for generations." dad added.

"But we can't just let them kill Marco! If you won't help me then I'll do it myself! "

"No, Star it's far too dangerous."

"I don't care, mom. I LOVE HIM!"

My parents looked at each other and then sighed.

"River call the police, let's go star." mom said heading towards the door.

We went where Toffee held Marco captive. It was an abandoned factory.

"Surprise."

"Toffee..." mom said glaring at him.

"Where's Marco?" I asked

"Star?"

It was Marco inside a cage. He looks unconscious and weak, Toffee must have beaten him up. I ran to him in the verge of crying, knowing that he wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for me.

"Don't worry Marco, we'll get you out of here."

"Star?" Marco asks me.

"Yes, Marco?" I replied

"I love you." Marco tells me. My heart sank while tears stream down my face.

"I love you too. Hang in there." I assured him.

"Well, well, well if it isn't the Butterflies. I assume you know what I want. "  Toffee says as he came out of the darkness and walks towards Marco's cage.

"Let Marco go!" my mother shouted.

"Give me what I want then I'll let him go. Otherwise he will never see the light of day again!" Toffee shouted back. I fell down at my knees, I can't lose Marco.

"No, please." I begged. Seconds later police started surrounding Toffee.

"Give up Toffee!" my mom shouted. Toffee laughed like it was a joke and pulled out a gun and aimed it towards Marco

"Shoot me and I'll shoot him." Toffee warns.

I'm back from the dead and probably going to update this book while quarantined a lot has happened in my life and have also became a fan of kpop (pls don't judge). Since people are still reading this book I thought of updating, sorry it's very late but a lot has happened in my life and I needed to find myself first.
