Chapter 11: Angel

Star's POV

Once I got home, I saw mom and dad rushing to get dressed.

"Star! Freshen up quickly, we don't want the Diaz's to keep waiting."

Mom screamed.

"Do I really need to go?"

"Of course sweety, if we want to blend in might as well have good communication with our neighbors."

"Besides they have a son."

Dad added. Then Marco's image flashed at the back of my mind.

"Yeah we've met."

"You're wearing the new dress I just bought you."

"What!? Can't I just go like this? It's just a dinner not a party."

"Star listen to your mother."

"Fine."

I grunt.

Marco's POV

As I got home, mom and dad made me dressed into a suit and tie.

"Oh look at you, my boy. You look like a real man."

Dad said.

"My Marco's all grown up."

Mom said tearing. Then all of a sudden there was a knock on the door.

"They're here!"

Mom and dad said at the same time, excitedly.

"Marco open the door while me and your mother prepare dinner."

"Fine."

Once I opened the door, I saw...an angel..I mean Star wearing a pink dress. She looked... amazing.

"Uh h-hi, please come in."

I said gesturing to get inside.

"Hello you must be Marco."

Star's mom said friendly.

"Yes nice to meet you Mr. And Mrs Butterfly."

I said shaking their hands.

"Oh please call me Moon. This is my husband River and my only daughter Star. Say hello Star."

"Glad to meet you my boy."

Star's father said.

"Yeah, hi."

Star said. While I began to blush.

"Uh let me go get my parents, just one moment."

I said nervously.

Star's POV

I can't believe I'm doing this.

"Star, come on talk to Marco."

"Why?"

"Just give him a chance sweety."

Dad added.

"Alright, alright"

Then all of a sudden, Marco's parents came out of nowhere.

"Hello, you must be Star, I'm Marco's mom, Angie"

She said hugging me.

"And I am his dad, Rafael."

And now they're both hugging me, which I don't mind.

"Hugssss!"

I gladly hug back they seem sooo nice then pulled back.

"Hi Moon."

Angie greeted my mom.

"Hello Angie, nice to see you again."

"Come, this way to the dining table."

His mom gestured while I followed. They're soooo sweet, it's hard to believe they're Marco's parents...maybe I should give him a chance, I  was pretty hard on him. We all sat down and began to eat.
