Chapter 14: The "Date" (Part 1)

Marco's POV

I can't believe I'm taking Star out tomorrow afternoon. Where am I going to take her? Or what am I gonna wear? I started to panic. I have never been in a date before, I don't even know if this is a date, I just want to be... friends. Ok Diaz clam down. I told myself. You'll think of something...tomorrow.

Star's POV

I can't believe I'm going on a date with Marco tomorrow afternoon. Well might aswell have a good shot at friendship. This is gonna be awkward.

Author's POV (I know so shook)

With those last thoughts they both fell asleep.

----Morning----

Marco's POV

I woke up well rested until I remember I was taking Star out this afternoon...dammit then I started to panic a little. I need to dress nice, do my hair...maybe. Wait. Where am I going to take her? As I was thinking of a place where I could take Star, there was a knock on the door.

"Marco! Are you awake sweety? You're gonna be late for school again!"

It was mom.

"Uh yeah mom I'm awake."

She said entering my room.

"What's wrong sweety?"

"Nothing just...nervous. Mom can I ask you a question?"

"Sure sweety."

"Where did dad take you on your first date?"

"Well, your dad took me to his mother's restaurant then he took me around town. Why the interest all of a sudden?"

"Well I don't know where to take Star this afternoon."

"Go where your heart's telling you."

That was really cheesy but kinda cute.

"I know, I know it's sounds cheesy but you'll understand someday"

As soon as she left my room I freshen up then head for school.

Star's POV

I woke up, freshen up then head downstairs to see my parents.

"Don't forget to be home at 6 o'clock after your date sweety!"

Mom reminded.

"It's not a date mom! We're just getting to know each other."

----AfterSchool(4 o'clock)----

Marco's POV

Ok I have made up my mind. I decided to take Star around the whole town, since I've been struggling with several places to take her why not every place..right? I was on my way to her last class when I saw...Jackie and Oscar talking together by the lockers. Oh no, I can't let Star see this. It will break her heart. I have to do something.

Star's POV

"Okay class you're all dismissed."

Mrs. Lopez said. We we're all about to leave but then the door wasn't budging it was stuck. I'm gonna be late for me and Marco's date-uh I mean...never mind.

"Open up!"

"Hurry up!"

"I gotta get home."

My classmates protest. What is going on out there?

Marco's POV

I blocked the door with stuff from the Janitor's closet. I could hear them protest through the door. As soon as the bell rang, Jackie and Oscar headed to the front of the school. I was a little heartbroken seeing then together. I quickly unblock the door to see Star who ran towards me while the other students passed by.

"Marco you saved us, let's go."

She said going towards the front of the school so I quickly stopped her by holding her hand.

"Uh let's go at the back."

"Ok"

She replied.
