Labem
"Known as taint or darkness it covers the grass, the trees, and any feral animals or unfortunate anthros that eat or get infected by it. It is black and thick like tar. So heavy some trees have fallen, then only to be consumed by the foul blackness.""Those that have been infected by it have incredible strength. But their minds have been eaten by the Labem. They perceive the feral animals as anything pure, white fur. Only to be a trap."
Charles flipped to the next page.
Vetitilux
"There was this interesting flower Tristan had found. The darkness seemed scared of the flower. The darken grass smoked and burned beside it. And remaining was pale green grass. The only patch of grass I've seen in this wretched forest."
"The Vetitilux is a white glowing flower. The stem is a pale bluish green. When we picked the already surrounded beauty. It got slightly dimmer. It burned the taint away as we walked with it. Only seconds after did the taint regrow over the pale green grass."
Charles went to the next page.
Surrexerunt nigrum
"Out in a clearing in the forest. The trees were surrounded by Vetitilux. Impossible for the darkness to spread into the almost blissful clearing. But in the middle, was a dark ominous patch. We went closer and found this black evil spewing plant in the center of the clearing. It seemed to be the source of the black tar that spreads on the grass. Tristan tore it out of the ground only before yelping. Best to note that there were thorns on the stem of it."
"There are no holes in the his paw. Thank god. But Tristan still looked panic."
DO NOT TOUCH THORNS!
The black rose will infect those who gets punctured by thorns. Best to just cut it with a sword.Charles flipped to the next page of Toriel's journal.
Toriel's writing was written terribly shaky and incredibly thick.
"We lost Tristan..."
"It was horrifying... We were all asleep when it happened. It covered him, his veins were black. Showing in his gums and eyes. They were coldly black. His blood curdling screamed and rigid squirming. God knows what time in the night it happened. Now all I will remember is his agonizing scream. Now he laid lifeless, cold. His white clean pelt looked burnt and blackened with tar like taint. Rest in peace Tristan"
Toriel had written it so shaky that it was hard to read.
"I saw him in the night. Staring at us through the trees. I'm scared. Because if he's not dead... He's infected. Well infected. Oh god what has he turn into?!"All of the text were fading. Except the newest page. It was clean, like it was only written in the past 14 years.
"Charles. His name is Charles, our newborn son. His black fur is so soft and he's so small. But he's the only one I can have. Only because of what he is and what happened to me. He is my only pup and he's the strongest one."
Charles felt happy, he felt his mother happiness. He smiled softly. Until he looked down and saw the big blackened, scratched words.
It was written so shakily it was almost impossible to read even the words ripped through the page.
"The- to-k my ch-ld. MY ON-Y CHILD."
The last part was smeared across the paper along with water stains. Revealing the agony Toriel had went through to Charles. He touched the smear, feeling anger. He had enough and closed it before he could read anymore.
