Charles

A alarm goes off and the cages open. The leopard's ears laid flat, the caged animals started to fight them. A pink cat claws the ropes in half.

"Come on let's get out of here" she said, running to the exit.
"Everyone out before they send the guards!" A tall Sheepdog shouted. They ran to the door. It was too late the guards break through the doors and throw gas at the animals.
"To the vents now!" The pink cat said hastily.
"What about them?!" Charles said quickly.
"Vegas is smart, he'll get them out." The cat ran to a vent and launched Charles into it, he helped her into it. "Crawl quickly yet silently." She said to him. He did as he was asked.

After a while in climbing the dusty ducks, they reach to a roof and climbed out onto it. "What now?" Charles asked. The cat looked around.
"What would Vegas do?..." She looked around then sees the water, she cursed to herself then looked around for another way. Charles looked around too, all he saw was water, he could hear the alarm still going off.
"Do you think they'll get out?..." Charles asked softly. The cat held her paw out.
"They'll get out... Don't worry" she said softly then looked over the edge. "I hate water..." She murmured to herself. "Hey kid, can you swim?" She asked him. Charles nodded and Katt shoved him off the edge almost immediately. She jumped right after him and they slammed into the water. She popped her head out gasping, they swam to the docks. "Okay we wait here" she said softly. "In the freezing ass water..." She muttered.
"Why in the water?" Charles asked.
"Well there are armed guards up there and we have nothing to use against them." Katt whispered.
"Oh..." He replied with a mumbled.
"Let me guess... Son of Lexon?" She asked him quietly.
"Deveal... But yes..." he whispered back.
"They'll meet us here. I'm Katt, their partner before they retired." She said softly.
"They never really told me much of their past lives..." Charles whispered.
"I've saw you once, when you were just a kitten... Or pup... Whatever you prefer" she smiled softly, then puts her wet paw on his mouth. "Shh..." Two guards walk by, she removes her paw Charles spat out the wet fur.
"I have so many questions..." Charles said softly, hanging on to the dock.
"I bet you do. I can answer some while we wait for them." Katt said softly.
"Okay... What did they use to do? Before... They found me." Charles asked.
"They use to be an Elite force for the military." She said softly. "They were really good at it. Your mother, Toriel. Was good as mocking other voices. Your father, Bill. Was excellent at stealth and lockpicking." She said. Charles had noticed that sometimes his dad would go silent all of a sudden when he walked and had to make sure he didn't lose him. His mother on the other hand, didn't notice. "They were the best team you could get. On missions of stealth. They were sometimes a little too reckless and blew up enemy bases..." She giggled softly. Charles remained silent, thinking everything his parents use to do.

"It's getting a little too cold..." Charles shivered. Katt perked her ears.
"Right no fur" she pulled herself up so she can see around. "Safe to climb" she climbed the rest of the way. Charles followed up and hugged himself tightly, shivering. "Follow me, I'll get you somewhere warmer." She said and walked silently, ringing her tail out. She pushed Charles behind a crate and followed beside him. "Keep low." Charles nodded, he didn't want to be caught any less than her. The guards walk by and chatted to each other. Katt looked over and listened. They didn't seem so excited, nor alert. "Either your parents are too good... Or they can't get out." That made Charles worried. He looked around, he wanted to get somewhere warmer right now. Katt pushed him down, laying low. "We'll have to wait" Charles hated to hear that, but she was right. Moving would be dangerous. So they waited.
