Charles focused forward. Following his mother toward the origin of the light. The ground squished under their feet from the soft infectious labem. Toriel's ears twitched and turned, listening to everything in the surrounding area as Charles looked around cautiously. The voices begun to speak in his head. "Don't let your guard down~ Something is always willing to eat you here. Such soft flesh, so savory" Charles spine chilled, shaking his head. Toriel growled softly, she was starting to hear them too. As they near the area of the light they noticed that area was clean of labem. The dirt was exposed and the wood and leaves brown with rot. Toriel saw Bill and ran toward him.
"Bill!" She sat the sword down as she slapped him softly. "Come on wake up!" Charles looked over to the destroyed shack, to see a patch of Vetitilux growing closely. They glowed with a strong light. Then he looked further left to see Tristan. He was unconscious and laying on the ground. His body was pure, furless, there was no longer any labem to torture his body. Charles walked over to him and kneeled down putting his ear on the bare chest of Tristan.
"Tristan?" He pushed him gently. Shaking him and trying to wake him up. Bill groaned as he woke up slowly, he quickly looked over himself for scratches and sighed in relief. He stared up at Toriel who was sitting in his lap.
"Oh my god you're okay!" She hugged him tightly.
"Ow ow ow ow! My back hurts!" He grunted. Toriel's ears laid flat as she let go quickly.
"I am so sorry!" Toriel whimpered.
"It's okay. Where's Tristan?" Bill exclaimed, pushing Toriel off of his lap and stood up limping toward Charles. "Oh shit..." Bill said softly and he kneeled down.
"He's alive, I think. His heart is still beating but barely." Charles told his father.
"Toriel watch for Amber!" He yelled to her. Toriel quickly pulled out her sword. Bill looked back down to Tristan and Charles looked up to his father.
"Will everything be alright?" Charles asked him quietly.
"Yes. Now that we have a plan to get rid of this infection. Yes we should be" He told Charles.
"And what's that?" Charles asked him. Bill showed a grim face as he looked down. Unwrapping the bandages from Tristan's body.
"Your blood purifies this filth Charlie... And hopefully we can find another way so we don't have to make you bleed." Bill told his son. Charles remained silent as Tristan coughed, opening his eyes.
"I hurt... So much..." Tristan whimpered softly. "Let's not do that again." He told Bill, who helped him sit up. He looked at the barren landscape. "How much I missed looking at dirt here." He said happily, his rat-like tail wagged softly. Charles stood up and the sweet moment of relief was snuffed out as he heard a soft laugh in the distance.
"Awe... How perfect, all of you are here!" Amber said softly as she walked on to the barren dirt. "This just makes my job easier now~" She grinned as her arm dripped of labem. Charles pulled his sword out quickly and turned around. Getting in between Amber and them. "And the brave child stands in front of his family?" Toriel ran up screaming with a foaming anger and slashed at Amber, which she just dodged with ease. Toriel's fire burned brightly, she was bloodthirsty and wasn't thinking straight.
"Mom!" Charlie yelled out, rushing toward them. A vine whipped Charles in the stomach. Launching him toward Bill, who caught him and crashed into the ground. Toriel's eyes burned with anger as her slashes were faster. Amber was starting to just barely dodged her sharp blade.
"Die! Die! Die you filthy whore!" Toriel growled loudly, she snarled loudly. She tossed the sword. Lunging at Amber to tear at her flesh and fur.
"Toriel!" Bill yelled loudly. "Snap out of it!" He set Charles down next to Tristan. "Protect him!" Bill ran toward Toriel and Amber.
