Toriel hummed softly to herself, her tail wagged happily as she had gotten to see her best friend's face 'normal' for once. She was in the kitchen boiling down more healing salve to treat her son's wounds. Charles laid on the couch, sick to his stomach as his blood rejected the labem violently. Toriel walked back over to Charles to replace his bandages with more of the healing salve. Charles groaned from the stinging of the paste. "I know I know, it doesn't feel too great. But you need to be more careful" Toriel told him sternly. The door creaked open as Bill walked into the house.

"Toriel... Where is the Amber book?" Bill asked as he looked around. She pretended not to hear him. "Toriel!"

"In the safe..." Toriel grumbled softly, her charcoal black ears laid flat against her head. She could hear Bill's claws tink against the wooden stairs as he went down them, which a rusted grinding proceeded behind them. After a couple seconds, there was a metal clunk as the safe was closed. Bill walked back upstairs. "Do you really need that book?" Toriel asked him as she turned around to him.

"Actually yes. The Roses are in the clearings and they're covered in thorny vines." Bill told her. Producing a key from his pocket. He put it into the rusted lock, a loud small click and the chains released their grasp on the book. Toriel dreaded the day they found that book. Some of the words were hard to understand as most of the pages were covered in a thick layer of dust and ash. Bill was quickly turning through the pages. There was a page missing. Bill looked over to Toriel slowly. Toriel was staring at Charles, sitting beside him.

"I removed the page and hid it." Toriel mumbled softly, a tear fell onto Charles' forehead.

"Where?" Bill asked her. She remained silent.

"Where?" Bill asked her demandingly.

"In the shed. Under the blue flower pot..." Toriel whimpered. Bill walked over to her and hugged her tightly.

"We won't use it. There's just information I need from it" Bill said softly, she nodded softly as she rested her head against his shoulder. He gently patted her head and goes outside into the shed. Toriel looked back at Charles and proceeded to wrap up his wounds better.

Bill opened the door to the dark, dusty, and mildew smelling shed. He went over to the pots on the shelf and picked them up one by one. He grumbled, annoyed that he couldn't find the blue pot. Until he looked on the very top of the shelf and pulled it off. The paper fluttered to the ground as he pulled the pot away from its resting place. He grabbed the paper and slowly unfolded it after he set the pot back. He read the few words that tore his son's fur off.

Levi noosa meo flakne.

Under the ghastly words was the description with the symbol to be drawn.

To make one immune to a plague near the symbol but the~ p-----...

The rest of the description was smeared, he knew what the rest meant. It was the consequence of using the spell. Tears streamed down his face as he remembered what happened. He shook his head to discard the thoughts, he flipped the paper to the other side. He mumbled to himself as he saw nothing on that side of that paper, he then started to growl loudly as he ripped the paper to shreds, breaking pots from his side in fury. From this rage Bill fell to his knees, putting his head into his paws. The memory dawned on him. He could no longer evade the memory as he remembered the pain they put their son in.

It was a clear day, the light was shining onto the tainted ground as the trees hadn't been consumed by the darkness, yet. A roar filled the air as birds flew out of the trees. Toriel in a black cloak held a small black pup as she ran out from the forest. Bill followed behind her as he looked back into the forest. A silver sword gleamed as he pulled it out of its scabbard. Slashing toward the forest. The little pup cried in her arms as she set the pup onto the ground, there was a purple gash across its stomach. Toriel pulled out a leather bound book with an Amber crystal jammed inside of an iron casing. Bill growled loudly. "Hurry up Toriel! I can hold them back for so long!" He snarled as a deformed creature punched him across the jaw. She flipped through the pages rapidly, almost tearing up one of them as she went through the book. She frantically read through the lines and saw the words but the warning was smeared. She shook her head and drew the symbol around the little pup.
