Chapter 13

A Week Later

It's been a week since Taehyung, Hoseok and Jungkook knew that me and the others were mermaids.

Everyday we tried to hide somewhere to be safe.  Mostly to protect the three of them. A lot of Mer guards have been roaming in the land, looking for us. Me and the others were still trying to find out what my parents were hiding, without getting caught of course. Whenever we stop looking for a while, I was always with Taehyung. Him and I became closer, closer to the point that I might caught feelings for him. Only a little though.

But I knew it wasn't good for the both of us, because we're different. I'm a mermaid and he's a human. A mermaid and a human can't be together. It's against our rule.

'What should I do?....' I thought.

"You ok?" I heard someone ask. I turned around saw my brother.

"Yeah. I think so.." I said and he walked beside me.

"That answer tells me that you aren't. You can tell me your problems. I'm your brother. You know I'll do anything to help you" He said.

"Say, why us mermaid can't live in harmony with humans? Or be with them?" I asked him.

"Well, that I don't know either. It has been that way ever since we were born" He said.

"I know but I want to know why. iheard from grandma before she died that all human and mermaids live in harmony. Also when our great grandma lived. Why did it change? What was the cause of it?" I asked him.

"All I know is that after Grandma Melody died, Mom returned in the sea and met dad. I can remember that after I was born, we were still allowed to go here..." He said.

"But after I was born everything changed, right?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Sometimes I question myself 'Why am I so special?' 'Why am I so different from you?'" I asked.

"As much as I want to answer that, I can't. Only our parents can answer it." He said. But the truth was, he knew the real reason. Why their parents were keeping her away from the others, but he couldn't tell anyone about it because of one feeling. Fear.

"There you are Jimin! Jin-hyung is looking for you!" We heard Taehyung yelled.

"I'm going in." Jimin said and walked back in the house.

«Taehyung's Pov»

"Tae, can you call Jimin? I need to talk with him" Jin-hyung said and I nodded. I looked for him and found him outside with (Y/n) and she looked sad.

"There you are Jimin! Jin-hyung is looking for you!" I said.

"I'm going in" He said to (Y/n) and walked in. I walked beside (Y/n).

"Something wrong?" I asked her and she shook her head.

"Nothing. Everything is fine.." She said.

"You know, lying won't help you..." I said to her and she sighed.

"I'm just thinking about the history of land and sea. Because of me all mermaids can't be friends with human or stay with them, anymore. Why is life hard? Can't I just be born a normal mermaid? Or human?" She asked.

"We all know that we can't change past, but we can change the future.." Isaid.

"For how long us mermaids can't be in harmony with you guys? I just don't get that rule" (Y/n) asked

"It's not to us to give you that answer.." I said.

"I have so much questions in me that I can't even remember the others..." She said.

"Don't worry. I'm sure we can solve this, together" I said and smiled ay her and held her hand.

"I hope so" She said with a smile.

«Jimin's Pov»

I walked in the kitchen, because I knew Jin-hyung was always there.

"Hyung?" I asked as I looked in the kitchen and saw him with Namjoon-hyung and Yoongi-hyung.

"We need to talk" He said.

"What is it hyung? Is there something wrong?" I asked.

"We just need to ask you a simple question" Namjoon-hyung said and I nodded.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Do you know someone that has the name Seojun?" Yoongi hyung asked me and my eyes widened.

'T-That name..' I thought and I started to shiver. Whenever I hear that name, my body starts to become numb. Weak.

"Jimin, are you ok?" Jin-hyung asked me.

"Yes,hyung. I'm ok and yes I know that name.." I said.

"Who is it?" Namjoon-hyung said.

"The person who made (Y/n)'s life a living hell..."
