Breakfast ended up lasting two hours with Indra, but Bellamy was okay with that. He was with Clarke. And she was having a good day so far. That's what mattered.
"So, where to?" Clarke asked ad he backed them out of the parking spot.
Bellamy drove her down the familiar roads to the cemetery. He watched her for a reaction, and her eyes were giving her away. They widened with realization before tearing up. He parked and waited for her to unbuckle.
"Here, I found this last night." He gave her the letter she read on her birthday. "You go ahead, okay? You can read it and talk to him. I'll be right here for you."
She kissed him before stepping out into the heat again. He watched her settle in the shade, directly by her father's headstone. She talked for awhile, wiping her eyes occasionally before he watched her open the letter. He sat, lost in thought, while she spent her time.
Bellamy jumped as she opened the passenger door again. He hadn't noticed she was walking towards the car. "Thank you, Bellamy," she breathed. "I needed that."
"I know," he rubbed her thigh.
"For everything, you know? For always being my best friend when we were kids, even when you were a dick. For being the only one truly there for me when I lost him," she said, her voice cracking with emotion. "For being here still, doing what I need. Doing for me. You lived a stupid hospital for two months for me."
Bellamy turned in his seat and held her face in his hands. "Look at me," he demanded, gently. "I love you, Clarke Griffin. I have always loved you. I will always love you. If you had been in that bed for twenty years, I would have lived in that hospital for twenty years." He wiped her tears away with his thumbs.
"And eat cardboard pizza for twenty years?" She asked with a smile.
His eyes widened as he gasped. "I knew you could hear me!" He kissed her, both of them smiling like idiots.
For the next two hours, Bellamy drove them North. Up into the mountains. He watched Clarke as she studied the scenery, looking again for reactions and memories to arrive.
He pulled onto a back road, the gravel crunching beneath his tires. He bit back his smile as they pulled up to the cabin.
"Is this where we stayed after you got shot?" She asked, quietly.
Bellamy grabbed her hand and kissed it. "Yes, it is. Come on, let's go look around."
Together they walked up the stairs to the small front porch, the wooden swing next to them moving slightly in the wind. Bellamy pulled up the rug and got the key, opening the door for Clarke. He let her walk into the small cabin first, to look around. She glanced over at the kitchen, but she made her way to the fireplace.
"We sat in front of this fireplace for hours," she chuckled. Bellamy's heart sped up as he followed her to the bedroom. "You loved that I was your nurse," she said. "But, you wanted me naked."
Bellamy's chest tightened as she repeated his words. She turned to face him, and pulled his head down to meet her. Their lips crashed, both of them wrapping their arms around the other.
"I can't remember the last year," Clarke panted. "I can only remember our first time."
Bellamy held his breath.
"I want to be with you," she said. "I need you, Bellamy."
Bellamy gulped, his heart pounding. He wanted her, too. More than anything, but she was still so fragile. She had to be careful of her screws.
"Please?"
Bellamy looked into her blue eyes, and he nodded. He slid her shirt up, pulling it off of her body and dropping it to the floor. Tossing his shirt down, too, he wrapped an arm around her waist. She locked her legs around his waist and climbed up on the bed.
He laid her back, kissing her deeply. He slid his hand under her and took her bra off. Clarke was panting as he trailed kisses from her jaw, down to her scar. He made sure to plant extra kisses there.
She raised her hips to help him tug her shorts and her panties down her legs. Along with her sandals, he tossed them to the floor.
His eyes moved down her body slowly, admiring every inch of her. He couldn't believe that she was here with him.
Sliding down, he opened her thighs wide. He smiled at Clarke's gasp of surprise. Slowly, he started kissing her knees, to her thighs, and right where she needed it.
