I'm home

I dashed through the forest. Weaving through the branches, and underbrush as I hunted for my next meal. This hunt would be the last one I had before I left for Washington. It's been a little over fifty years since I've last seen my family, and fifteen years since I've last spoke to them.

I miss them terribly. I miss rough housing with Emmett, reading history with Jasper, watching movies with Carlisle and Esme, and looking through fashion magazines with Alice and Rosalie. After I had moved in with them, I was so closed off from them.

I wanted to talk to them. But I was still getting used to finally having a family again. When Emmett arrived, I was shocked to see how much he reminded me of my brother. It was then that I started interacting with them more.

I thought our family couldn't get any bigger. Then Alice and Jasper joined us. When I met Alice, I called her a little energy demon. She was so hyper, and happy. Jasper however, was the complete opposite.

He was calm, quiet, and reserved. He was also a gentleman to boot. In the time I got to know them, I found a liking for fashion with Alice, and a fondness of history books with Jasper. But as time went on, I couldn't help but think about the fact that I was the only one who seemed to be....disturbed by the fact that I was alone. Sure, I had a family who loved me, but I still felt a loneliness that enveloped me.

I talked to Carlisle and Esme about it, and they were concerned immediately. I told them that I needed to leave for a while, to see if I could find a solution. They agreed, but made me promise to keep in touch.

It's been fifteen years since I sent my last letter. I left shortly after Emmett joined. Even after living by myself for over fifty years, I still couldn't find a solution to the feeling of loneliness. I probably would've been gone for another twenty years if it weren't for the letter I received from Rosalie.

Edward has apparently fallen in love with a human. I figured that he'd be with her for a while then leave her. But once I fully read the letter, my ire went through the roof. I went out and hunted as much as I could so I would be prepared for when I arrived. I found a loan, year old buck and pounced. Once I was done, I made sure to make it look like the buck was attacked.

I went back to the cabin I was renting and packed my clothes. I wrote a note to the owner, and left some money in an envelope as payment before I left. It didn't take me long to reach the state border. I had been living on Vancouver island recently. There was plenty of space if I wanted to be isolated, yet there are enough cities to live in if I so choose.

I crossed into Forks just before noon. I debated on who to surprise first, before an idea popped into my head. I pulled my phone out and dialed Rose's number.

"Hello?"

"Rose, it's Lala."

"Lala! It's good to hear from you."

"Likewise. Listen, Edward's in school right now, yes?" I asked.

"What're you up to?"

"Oh, nothing. Just wanted to pay our dear brother a visit."

I walked down the hall, clipping the visitors' pass on my shirt. It irked me that I had to change clothes to be more appropriate, but I made sure it was still among my style. (AN: She doesn't wear the headband)

I walked through the halls, looking for Edward. When I reached the mess hall, I saw him sitting at table full of humans. I smirked and entered the room.

"I've decided to throw a party!"

"After, you only graduate high school once."

"At your house?"

"I've never seen your house."

"No one's seen their house."

"Really Alice," Edward said in disbelief. "Another party?"

Cue my entrance.

"Oh c'mon Edward," I said, placing my hands on his shoulder. "Let Alice throw a party. After all, what could go wrong?"

"Who're you?" A dark-hair girl with glasses asked.

"Oh? They didn't tell you? I'm their sister, Ursula."
