I ran, and ran. Not wanting to believe what happened between me and the mutt.

When we locked eyes, I could feel a pull towards him. Like, he had suddenly turned into a black hole, and wasn't gonna let me go. I knew it then, that he was the one I spent a good portion of my life searching for.

But I knew it couldn't happen. We were mortal enemies, and there was no way that he'd accept a vampire for his mate.

My inner ramblings were interrupted by the sound of Emmett's loud voice. I launched myself up a tree, not wanting to talk to anyone just yet.

"I'm serious, Rose. Something isn't right with Ursula. When the mutt and she locked eyes, I could've sworn she had the look we had when we first met. I swear it!" Emmett said, sounding frustrated.

"Emmett, there's no way a wolf would imprint on vampire. They couldn't have any kids!" Rosalie said.

I watched them pass under me. After they were gone, I landed on the forest floor, and took off towards the house. When I got there, I went straight to my room. I walked into my bathroom, and discarded my clothes. I stepped into the shower, and let the water run over my body.

'You need to go after him.'

'You know that I can't.'

'He is your mate. You know what happens if you don't.'

'And? You also know that he has a right to refuse the imprint. Until then, I won't do anything.'

'Ursula, I won't let you suffer.'

'I've been suffering the moment my parents died, Enchantress. It's not gonna make a difference if he rejects me.'

'Ursula--'

I tuned her out, and finished my shower. I wrapped my hair in a messy bun, and wrapped a towel around my my torso before walking over to my closet. I changed into some jean shorts, and a green tank top.

I applied my makeup, and painted my nails before opening my jewelry box. I picked a silver necklace that matched my nails, and placed it around my neck.

As I clasped the necklace together, Esme came into my room.

"Your father and I would like to have a word with you." She said before leaving.

I sighed, and closed the box. I made my way to Carlisle's office. When I walked in, Carlisle was sitting behind his desk, Esme was standing next to him, and Emmett occupied one of two chairs in front of the desk. I sat down in the chair, and waited for the reprimand.

"What happened tonight, was very wrong. The way you two acted tonight, nearly ended the treaty for which we have upheld for decades. Emmett...you should've payed better attention to your surroundings. Had you done so, we wouldn't be here right now."

"I'm sorry, Carlisle. I got caught in the possible fact of catching Victoria. I promise that it will never happen again."

"Very well. Ursula? What do you have to say about this?"

I look Carlisle in the eye. I saw the one thing a child never wants to see from their parents; disappointment.

"I take full responsibility of my actions. They were uncalled for, and if the wolves want me to leave, I will. I've jeopardized your guys' living situation, and I will abide by the rules from now on." I said, with as much confidence as I could.

Esme and Carlisle were shocked. Usually Ursula would try to defend her self. Albeit, she would yell and shout while doing so. But know? Ursula sat in front of them, quietly taking responsibility. Well....quiet for her.

"Ursula? Are...are you sure about this?" Emmett asked.

Ursula looked at her brother. Giving him a sad smile.

"I am. Had I not jumped in, there wouldn't be any ramifications. I've endangered the remainder of your time here. I need to take responsibility for it. I need to face my problems. Not run away from them."

Ursula stood and walked over to the door. She turned around, looking at her family.

"I'm sorry." She said, before leaving the house.

She headed towards the treaty line.

"I wish to talk with you. I want to apologize for my behavior and discuss my punishment." She said, calling out to whatever wolves would be willing to listen.

Sam, Paul, Jared, and Jacob approached her. Sam and and Paul being the ones in their human form.

"What makes you think we're going to listen to you?" Sam snarled.

Ursula looked at Sam.

"Because I'm willing --as humans say in this era-- to take one for the team."

The wolves looked at the vampire in front of them. They'd never had to deal with something like this before.

"Very well. Your portion of the treaty will remain intact. However, when you hunt, you must have someone with you at all times."

"I understand."

The two continued to discuss her portion of the treaty until a howl sounded off in the distance. Jacob and Jared disappeared back into the forest. As Sam disappeared into the trees, Ursula looked at Paul.

"Aren't you gonna follow him?"

Paul stepped forward.

"I, Paul Lahote, hereby reject you as my imprint."
