Chapter 4: A broken heart

A Jolteon leaped out of the bushes as soon as the Eevees were out of sight.

"Now I've found you" he snarled as he followed the Eevees to the Eevee village. When he made it to the village, the Jolteon stayed a safe distance, trying not to be seen as he hides behind a tree.

"Steve, Eve you're back! Did you two get into any trouble this time?" Lizzy asked.

"No!" They answered in unison.

"Good. Come! It's time to eat" she said as she beckoned the young Pokémon to follow her to the berry pile.

"Hm... those children would be the first thing to take care of" the Jolteon grinned. He decided to wait a little longer before pouncing on his prey.

Steve and Eve gulped down their Oran berries and began chasing each other around like Skittys.

Jolteon couldn't wait any longer as he hated watching others having fun in front of him. He then rushed over and tackled Eve to the ground.

"Hey! What's the big deal!! You disturbed our game!!!" Steve shouted as he bit on the Jolteon's ear. It didn't seem to have effected him as he was much stronger than the Eevees combined. He used Thunderbolt and the Eevees fell to their knees paralyzed.

Obsidian and Claire was aware of this and rushed into the scene.

"Drake!!!" Obsidian growled. "What are you doing here?!"

Drake laughed. "I've come to take what should have been mine!!!!" He growled. "Come now, Brother, don't tell me you didn't get my warning"

"I should have known it was you who left the threat" Obsidian said.

"Obviously!! I thought you would have known"  Drake responded dumbfounded.

"You better leave this place or I'm going to make you" Obsidian growled.

Drake stood his ground and made a battle stance. "I'm not leaving without a fight."

"Guess we're doing this the hard way" Obsidian responded. 

Obsidian used a Dark Pulse on Drake. Drake used Thunderbolt and shocked Obsidian. He quickly recovered and used bite. Drake grabbed onto Obsidian's neck and bit hard on it as he yelped in pain. Drake then used Shadow Ball and attacked Obsidian as he laid limp on the ground. "Dad!" Mystic cried, running towards him. 

"No, Mystic stay back!" Claire yelled.  Mystic didn't listen. Drake turned to see her and glared at her. He was ready to attack at any moment. 

Once she took a step closer, he then decided that she was close enough and ran towards her, head butting her to the ground with a huge impact. He was now on top of her as she tries kicking him off. Once he was finally off her, she got back up to her feet. Many Eeveelution stared at her in surprise and some of them gasped with terror upon what they saw. Mystic chooses to ignore them and attempts to attack with Psychic. Nothing happens. She tries again. Nothing. "Why isn't my Psychic working?" She asked, out loud. 

Lizzy slowly stepped forward. "Maybe it's because..." she stopped and turned to Rarity. 

"Your gem is cracked" Rarity finished.

Mystic overheard a few murmurs in the crowd. "Wow! A Psychic Type who can't use Psychic powers. That's rhydonculous!" 

"W-what?" She slowly turned to a pond and looked at her reflection in the water and she saw what seemed to be a small crack that is shaped like a lighting bolt in her gem. She turned around to see some of the Eeveelutions giving her a look of pity for her and others looking away trying  not to notice it. She quickly turned away and ran into the forest away from them. Not wanting to hear what they would say next.
