"Maddie, tubig," Tinanggap naman ni Maddie ang isang baso ng tubig na inabot sa kanya ni Miranda. Tumabi naman ito sa kanya sa pagkakaupo niya sa kama nito.
"Thank you, Ate Mir," She thanked him sincerely as she immediately drank the water. Miranda Jimenez is her older brother, Arran's girlfriend. Miranda is the longtime girlfriend of her brother for five years already kaya naman ay naging close na niya ito. Miranda is currently a law student that's why sa apartment siya muna nito pinatuloy sa gabing iyon.
After the scandalous incident that happened earlier in the afternoon, everything became a mess. Bigla na lang kasing nagkagulo. Kaya ngayon, nasa presinto lahat ng mga kapatid niya dahil sa nangyari - including the stupid imbecile. Everything was fast and complicated that's why she felt stressed and she collapsed. At nang magising siya ay nagulat na lang siya na nasa apartment na pala siya ng girlfriend ng Kuya Arran niya.
"Dinala ka rito ng Kuya Arran mo," Mir started, her voice was worried as well, "Umalis kaagad siya para bumalik sa presinto. Sinabi niya sa 'kin ang nangyari."
Bumuntong-hininga naman si Maddison. Kahit siya ay hindi niya alam kung anong nangyayari ngayon sa buhay niya. When she saw the two red lines from the pregnancy test kit she embarrasingly asked at the clinic, she felt like her world suddenly crumbled. Like her life was over... her dreams, her future plans... it was all destroyed.
And she doesn't know what to feel. She doesn't know what to do with her life anymore. And her heart is feeling heavy.
What will her parents do if they'll know it?
What will they do if their only daughter, their most beloved daughter got pregnant at eighteen?
"You can tell me what really happened, Maddie. I'm all ears," She added assuringly to her. Nilingon naman ito ni Maddison. She sighed as she spilled all the beans to Miranda. Her brother's girlfriend was attentively listening to her, even squeezing her hand just to make her feel at ease.
"Tanga rin ng mga kapatid mo," Miranda commented, now, sounding pissed, "Lalo na iyong Kuya Arran mo. Sinong shunga maglalagay ng puchang soju sa pitcher?!" She exclaimed in disbelief. Umiling pa ito, "Dapat hindi lang iyong Connor ang makulong, isama mo na rin ang tatlong ugok na mga 'yon. Sila talaga ang puno't dulo eh! Pati ako na-istress!"
Natawa na lang si Maddie sa reaksyon nito. Although she doesn't really feel okay right now, she felt a little relaxed because of Miranda.
"Naku, baby girl, if you want, dito ka muna sa apartment ko. I know na magiging magulo pa ang mangyayari especially if malalaman nila Tito at Tita," Pinisil naman nito ang kamay niya at ngumiti, "I know it will be hard, especially for your parents. But don't think this accidental pregnancy is a mistake. Isipin mo na lang na blessing in disguise si baby saka if ever palalayasin ka nila Tita Sereen, dito ka na lang sa apartment ko. Ako bahala sayo." She assured her. Napangiti naman siya sa sinabi nito at niyakap ito.
