Nagmamadali namang pumasok si Connor sa clinic kung saan nagpapacheck-up ngayon si Maddison. Alam niyang late na siyang dumating doon dahil 2pm ang appointment nito - and it was already 2:15 in the afternoon. Natagalan pa kasi siya dahil kailangan pa niyang magpaalam sa coach nila sa basketball - and of course, their coach scolded him because of his many absences before letting him go.
"Uhm, si Maddison de Leon po," He immediately asked the nursing attendant in the reception area.
"Currently nagpapacheck-up pa kay Doc. Maari ko po bang malaman kung sino po sila?"
"Connor Rivera, I'm the baby daddy." He quickly answered the nurse signaled him to just go inside. Kaagad naman pumasok si Connor sa opisina ng doktor. As usual, the patients who were also waiting outside for their check-ups looked at him as if they were judging him.
Nang makapasok na siya ay nakita naman niya na kinukunan ng BMI si Maddie. After getting her body weight, kinunan din ito ng blood pressure. Napansin naman ni Yaya Jeni si Connor at sinenyasan itong tumabi sa kanya sa isa mga receiving couch para sa mga pasyente. He was really still panting. Talagang tumakbo kasi siya papunta doon matapos niyang ipark ang kotse niya.
Ilang minuto naman ay pinaupo na si Maddison malapit sa table ng doktor. The doctor also signalled Connor to sit opposite to Maddie.
"Hi." He greeted the moment Maddison Grace looked at him. Medyo nagulat naman ito nang makita siya doon.
"So I'm prescribing some medications para lumakas ang kapit ng mga bata - especially when you're having a placental previa condition. By the way, can I just ask if you are living together?"
"We used to."
"We are."
Sabay pa silang dalawang sumagot ni Maddison. Maddie glared at Connor. Connor immediately scratched his nose awkwardly, "Yeah... We used to."
"Okay, so were you both sexually active? Like did you engage in sexual activities when you were still together?"
"No." Maddison immediately answered.
"I wish." Connor mumbled, enough to be heard by the doctor. Nanlaki naman ang mga mata ni Maddie matapos ang sinabi nito. This stupid guy is embarrassing her!
Connor then noticed the suprised face of the doctor and Maddie giving him a death glare again. He quickly shrugged, "Of course, it's just a dream. It will never happen again.Besides, my baby mommy doesn't like me. Iba kasi ang gusto niya. Ata."
The female doctor just chuckled at them, "I'm just asking these questions dahil maselan ang pagbubuntis if may placental previa ka. If both of you are sexually active to each other, it'll cause bleeding to the mother. The pressure in the intercouse will affect the placenta of baby kasi nga malapit na ito cervical opening - so having sex will just cause bleeding."
