Jared and Max were his dad friends since all of them were kids. The three of them were even members of a notorious fraternity during their college years and as he heard, his dad had a lot of enemies back in college.
The two older men visited Samuel the third earlier this morning - soothing his mom. "Masamang damo siya, Vanessa, gigising din 'yan." Max Peter seconded.
Kahit naiiyak ay napailing naman si Vanessa sa sinabi ng dalawa. His mother seemed also close with his dad's friends.
"Mga siraulo talaga kayo kahit kailan."
"No offense, he's a devil incarnate. I couldn't even still forget Samuel had beaten me up into pieces and almost killed me," Max replied, chuckling. Lumapit pa ito sa Dad niya at tinapik ang pisngi nito, "The third, motherfucker, you better wake up now because I still didn't get my revenge on you."
"Jared, baka si Jolina ang may gawa nito... I don't know, wala namang sinasabi sa 'kin si Samuel kung may mga death threats siyang natatanggap." Vanessa told the two worriedly.
"His stepmother has no authority anymore, Vannie. We already made sure na mabubulok siya sa kulungan and I have my men to secure you for it," Jared simply answered. As what Connor remembered, his father once told them that Jared was sort of a mafia lord and part of a mob, "Now, my men are sort of ruling out that this is due to his involvement with the politics."
"Ito kasing si the third, sumali pa sa pulitika. Politics is too dirty to play that's why despite my family being also a political clan, I never intend to join it. Besides, you're already rich, Vanessa. Both of you don't need to join politics anymore. Are you sure, Samuel isn't cheating on you? Baka naman may babae siya sa senado kaya siya sumali sa pulitika." Jared added in amusement.
"Impossible. He's too fucking obsessed with Vannie, Montessor. Remember Samuel almost killed me when I tried to attack Vanessa? He fucking sacrificed his friendship to us just for Vannie."
Jared laughed at Max's remark. Vanessa shook her head in disbelief.
"Bakit ba kayo bumisita pa rito? Wala naman kayong matinong sinasabi." Inis na sabi naman ni Vanessa sa mga ito.
