"Your hands are cold," Connor Andres commented when he suddenly held Maddie's hand. Nasa waiting area kasi sila ng ob-gyne clinic for their second prenatal check-up. At tulad ng dati, marami-rami rin silang mga kababaihang nandoon para magpacheck-up.
Maddison just sighed and bit her lower lip to calm herself. Magkatabi kasi silang dalawa ni Connor habang naghihintay. And as what she noticed, iyong ibang mga pasyente ay nakatingin sa kanilang dalawa. Like they are too young for that place. From the judgmental looks from the other female patients, it is making her nervous, embarrassed and anxious.
Kanina nga, ang babaeng katabi nila na tantiya niya ay nasa 30's na ay bigla siyang kinausap at tinanong tungkol sa edad niya. When she answered eighteen, the woman looked shocked for a minute then just smiled at her, but for her, it looked like the woman was mocking and judging her.
Naramdaman naman niyang hinigpitan ni Connor ang paghawak sa kamay niya. She looked at him and noticed he was just looking up at the ceiling.
"I'm nervous too," Connor spoke, "But we're together so it makes me less nervous."
She smiled because of his unpredictable words. Napailing na lang din siya. Kahit papaano ay parang nabawasan ang kaba niya dahil sa sinabi nito.
"You're really not an idiot after all, Rivera." She mumbled.
Connor Andres grinned without even looking back at her.
"You're not a witch after all, De Leon."
"But I'm excited for the ultrasound," Connor finally glanced at her, still grinning mischievously, "Cause I know it will be twins and it will be both males."
Kumunot naman ang noo ni Maddison dahil sa sinabi nito. This idiot is really too confident that they're going to have twins.
"And I'll name the other one Connor Andres junior, then the other one will be the second. It's quite cool, right--"
Hindi naman niya pinatapos at kaagad piningot ang tenga nito. Nagsimula na naman siyang manggigil dahil sa mga pinagsasabi nito sa kanya - like this stupid guy is naming their kid junior!
"Fuck, you're a sadist witch!" Reklamo nito sa kanya habang hinihimas ang pumupulang tenga nito.
"I won't let you name our kid with that cringy name!" She replied madly as well. They were already bantering with each other again.
"Oh, ano, you'll name our baby Grayson? Grayson junior? Ginagawa mo atang loser at lampa ang anak natin," Naiinis na sabi din nito. Even some of the patients were now looking at them, "Eh hindi naman siya 'yung ama! Feeling ama lang ang gagong iyon!"
Mas lalo namang nagkasalubong ang mga kilay ni Maddison dahil sa sinabi nito pero bago pa man siya makapagsalita ay lumabas na ang nurse mula sa opisina ng doktor at tinawag sila.
