Woah. Mark's hair looks amazing. I can finally see his eyes. He had gelled his bangs into a sort of slanted quiff. I'm hoping he keeps his hair like this from now on.

"What?" He chuckled. He noticed me staring at him.

"Nothing." I shook my head. "I mean, I like your hair."

Mark's eyes widened. "Really?"

I nodded.

"Thanks." He's trying so hard not to blush. I can tell. "Maybe I'll leave it like this. Only because you like it."

Now I'm the one trying not to blush.

"So do you like it here?" he asked me. He had taken me to an Italian restaurant called Connie's. Mark was right. This place was already making me feel a lot better and we'd only been here for about twenty minutes.

"It's nice." I'm smiling. The lights were dim to give the place a more romantic feel I guess. There were other couples here other Mark and I. Well, we weren't exactly a couple all though I kind of want to be. No I haven't known him for that long but I was starting to develop feelings for him. I'm pretty sure he feels the same about me.

"Here's your large pizza. Enjoy." the waitress places a steamy pepperoni pizza between Mark and I. I'm not sure why we even ordered a whole pizza. I was probably only going to eat two slices and that's it. Maybe even one.

"I swear once you start eating you're not gonna wanna stop." Mark grabbed a slice of pizza and nearly stuffed it down his throat, not caring that it was still hot.

But he was right. This pizza was delicious. I wasn't going to overeat in front of him because that it totally not lady like.

After another half hour of talking, laughing, and eating (and flirting) we were headed back to the school. Mark parked his car in the student parking lot and we sat there.

"So did you have fun?" He turned to me.

"Of course I did." I responded.

Mark smiled. "I'm glad."

I looked out of the window at the empty campus. The lampposts were on and the only thing you could here were the crickets in the distance. Cool breeze seeped through the cracked windows of Mark's car and I kind of wished I was wearing a cardigan over my pale pink spaghetti strapped sundress.

"So are you ready to leave?" I turned to Mark. One of his arms were behind his head, the other behind my seat.

"Why?" he asked. "I like sitting here looking at you."

If Mark wasn't cute, that would've came off a bit creepy.

"So where do you see this going?"

I was confused. "See what going?"

He shrugged. "You know.... us. Where do you see us going?"

I shrugged too. I honestly had no clue. I was kind of hoping he knew the answer to that. I just didn't want to rush things so I was depending on him to know.

"Do you see us ever being together in the future? I mean, will you be willing to give me a chance? Like, ever be my girlfriend?"

I tried to bite my lip to keep from smiling but it was too late. I liked how Mark got a little nervous whenever he asked me questions like that. It was hot. Really all I could do was smile.
