The White Paladin

~Chapter Nine~

Back at the castle. All of the lions were sitting together as we Paladins stood in front of the black lion, in hopes that it would respond to the others. And as Allura had predicted, the black lion gave out a loud roar as to which ours responded back to.

It stood up and Shiro stood in front of the magnificent machine as it towered over us.

Just then, I noticed the size differences of the lions. Shiro's was of course the largest next was Hunk, then Lance, Pidge, and the White lion and Red lion were pretty close but mine was tad bit....thicker?

Alarms and a red glow fill the room, bringing me from my thoughts.

"It's Sendak! He's entered the atmosphere. We need Voltron. Now!" Allura desperately yells while checking the screen.

We all turn to our lions and get in them and race to the castle gates. Smaller ships were scattering the sky and as they began to shoot the particle barrier, that Allura had activated.

"The castle can defend you only for a short period of time. We're going to need Voltron soon, if we want to survive though." Allura's voice says though the communicators in the lions.

"Listen up team Voltron! The only way we can stop these guys is to give them all we've got! Are you with me!" Shiro firmly states through the communicator and I nod, although no one can see me.

".....I'm nodding....is-is anyone else nodding?" I release a loud snort at Hunks question and quickly cover my mouth in embarrassment.

"Yes Hunk. And was that (Y/N)?" Everyone asks and I stay silent as my face is consumed in heat.

"Alright, well let's do this!" Shiro states through my silence as he runs out of the barrier and we follow suit.

"Ok, so now how do we form Voltron?" Lance asks while running alongside my lion.

"I don't see any 'form into a huge robot' button anywhere." Hunk says as we run further and further from the castle as the ships follow after us.

"This is so annoying! Can't they stop shooting for one minute so we can figure this out!?" Pidge yells as her lion dodge's a series of lasers.

"We have to do something! Agh!" Keith yells as Hunk headbutted Keith's lion.

"Whelp, that didn't work..." Hunk sighs.

"What should we do then? Is there a specific way to form Voltron? Hey wait, there are a lot of lasers coming at us, Pidge move!" I say as I gently push Pidge away from me in the air, to avoid a cluster of lasers.

"Maybe we need to fly in formation, like in the holograms from earlier! Ready?" Shiro says as we all race to the top of a cliff in formation and leap off of it and begin to fly like the lions did in the hologram.

"Hey wait! I actually feel something!" Lance yells.

"It's kinda like, we're being pulled in the same direction." Hunk exclaims and I look up...it definitely wasn't Voltron giving us that feeling.

"Everyone look!" I yell and they all see a huge ship, and what looks like a tractor beam pulling us upwards.

The particle barrier on the castle also had been destroyed leaving it vulnerable. A feeling of dread fills me as I can tell the others are giving up.

"Everyone listen! We are the only hope! We have to do this! Please, I believe in all of us! I believe we can become Voltron!" I yell and everyone seems to gain confidence as they all yell out agreements.
