accident

We were waiting for Levis parents to arrive. After waiting about 5 minutes,

J: why don't we go play in the bouncyhouse till your parents come.
L: yea bouwncy houwse!

They ran to the bouncyhouse and started playing. I walked over to the bouncyhouse.

L: come Ewika! Play!
E: I don't know if..
Jake cut me of
J: come on!
E: fine..

I took my shoes off and jumped on the bouncyhouse. We were having a lot of fun and we kinda forgot the time. After a while I looked at my phone, it was 2:47pm. The doorbell rang. I opened the door, I thought it were Anna and Dennis but it was Jack.

E: oh my gosh Jack where have you been? I missed you!

I hugged him. He laughed,

Jk: I have only been away for two days!
E: I know

Jack looked at Levi.

Jk: who's kid is that?

I told him about how we had to babusit Levi and how his parents still aren't here to pick him up. Jack introduced himself to Levi and walked upstairs to find Nathan.

E: Jake, can you come here for a second?

He jumped of the bouncehouse and walked over.

E: it is 2:47pm and his parent havent arrived still.
J: that's weird, maby we should call them.
E: good idea!

I searched their number in my phone and pressed call. They didn't pick up. It sounded likr the phone I was calling was turned off.

E: I think the phone is turned off.
J: that's weird.
E: I know right!

Levi walked over to us.

L: can me watch TV?
E: yeah offcourse. But why don't you and Jake get something to drink first.

They walked to the kitchen and I walked to the livingroom and turned on the TV. The TV turned on and it was on a news channel.

*Now breaking news from our people in LA. This morning there was a car accident between two cars. The cause of the accident is not known yet. But we do know that two people in the car died because of their injuries. The names off the woman and the man who unfortunately didn't make it are Anna and Dennis Hampton*

I couldn't believe what I just heard. What was happening with Levi now?
Jake and Levi walked in with drinks. I turned off the TV.

L: hey!
E: Jake can I talk to you for a minute?
J: sure.

We walked to the hallway.

E: I just turned on the TV and.. It was on a news channel and.. they.. Levis parents were in a car accident this morning... they...they died...
J: what?! How are we supposed to tell Levi? Where does Levi have to go?
E: I don't know.

I was upset and Jake could tell. He wrapped his arms around me.

J: it will be okay...
E: poor Levi..
J: we have to tell him..
E: now?
J: yea...now...

We walked back to the livingroom where Levi was watching TV. I turned the TV off.

L: hey!!
E: we have to talk to you..

We sat down on the couch.

J: so Levi, your mommy and daddy were on a roadtrip huh?
L: yeah, wiwth the new car.
J: yeah, uhmm.. so when they were driving in the car.. something bad happened.. your mommy and daddy were in a car accident this morning.
L: what that mean?
J: they were driving and they hit abother car, very hard.. and they... they died...
L: no...mommy daddy not die!

He started screaming and crying. Jake picked him up and held him tight. Levi stopped screaming and was now only crying. Team ten heard the screaming and ran into the livingroom.

T: everything okay?
E: we have to talk guys, but not here.

I walked to the kitchen, team ten followed.

T: why is Levi crying?
E: Levis parents were in a car crash this morning.. they died..
Jk: what?!
T: what is gonna happen with Levi now?
