Monster Inside

Hush little baby,
Don't say a word and never mind
That noise you heard.

It's just the beast under your bed,
In your closet,
in your head.

Monsters don't sleep
under the bed,
They sleep inside your sweet mind

You became the monster you fear the most,
So the monster won't overtake

Piece by piece,
It woves your mind,
playing tricks on every turn.

Feeling scared,
Feeling like your crazy,
Feeling as if you lost your mind...

You should be...

because that means,
You already are what you fear most,
The monster inside.

You knew your innocence was lost when you realized,
You were no longer afraid ,
of the darkness surrounding you...

Instead you discovered,
you fear the darkness that is inside of you.

You lose your mind,
when you realize...

You have been talking to yourself,
All this time.
