Blue Pill

I am blue.

Whenever I am shoved down your throat

You freeze like a lake during Alaskan winters.

They say you need me, do not resist;

Supposedly I am good for you.

I think they're wrong.

How can I be good if I turn you to stone?

You're face so calm, not even a twitch,

You're body a captured picture.

I see inside you as I spread my touch

like darkness taking over light at dusk.

They can't see inside your mind.

You're body blue with tranquility,

You're mind a raging red,

The fire blazing through your forest mind.

I hear you screaming,

The voice echoes on your skull,

Unheard within your prison walls.
