Beautiful Fear

Forests green as far as the eye can see, I was scared.

Giant snow-capped mountains forming a wall, tall rows surrounding, higher higher...

A little town in the centre of hills, I didn't know where you were.

A gentle wind brings nature to your ears, I was distracted.

Rain pulls the smell of the Pacific from an hour's distance, I didn't hear you walk away.

As seasons change so does the canvas, the panic rises in my chest.

A picture of art, I want to cry.

Green to white to orange, the voices go silent - around me everything fades.

It is safe,  I look and call out for you.

Standing out on top you look out, running around I can't find you.
