Christmas Spirit

As the short sun sets and the long moon rises,
firewood begins to crack while the tree lights up,
Fluffy, white snow falling,
Crunching beneath your feet,
frozen and untouched as more flakes fall down to the ground.

Family gathering, there is much to eat
Oh what a night it will be.

Children looking outside,
way up to the stars,
keeping an eye out for Santa Clause.

Have they been good or maybe bad?
Will they get treats or coal, nobody will know till Christmas morn.

On this night with spirits high,
we gather around for a special night, counting down to a twinkle in the sky,

A night of magic, oh we cannot wait!
Hear any bells? It means Santa's close.
Time to go to bed,
snuggle warm,
Let your dreams take you on an adventure of carols around the Christmas tree filled with merry and lots of jolly.

Merry Christmas to one and all
