Realization had drove into Maria's entire body, as soon as she took out the dagger from the Verpletted demon it spit into two bodies that looked at the cell's door and went out. Everyone had rushed to see where Jeffery and Jordan's remain where going, and Maria wanted to be the first person to see it. They had reached to the main floor of the Institute, and the white streaks of sparkles had went out the window all the way up to the sky disappearing like they did before. Only this time...no one would ever see them again, and only see them as deceased Shadowhunters who's only wish was to have a little sis, and they did but as many people always say 'Be careful for what you wish for'.

Maria: JEFFERY! JORDAN!

Maria had broke down into a waterfall of sorrow and anxiety her body had fallen to the gray floor of the Institute with everyone trying to get her out of the floor, out the hell that had been cursed upon her mind, soul, and what was worse, her heart. Through out the days that had passed Maria was locked in her room, and mostly did her time weeping she didn't want anyone to see her like this so anyone who dared to come into her room she'd yell.

Maria: GET OUT! JUST GET OUT!

No one could reach her, and it was only a week after their deaths and Dakota has had enough of this. She knew she needed help, and Dakota needed her the most out of the people that lived here. Dakota woke up in the middle of the night, and walked over to her room quietly not to disturb anyone. When she got to Maria's room, only a creak was seen through and it was Maria sitting at the foot of her bed just crying from a nightmare she had. Dakota had walked inside, but Maria didn't push away instead she quickly wiped away her tears while taking deep breaths in to compose herself, but Dakota knew that she saw those crystal drops that watered her Parabati's face. Dakota knew what she saw, and it was about time that this personal hell that Maria had created is destroyed. She sat next to Maria, and Maria was about to cry the minute Dakota had taken her seat but she wouldn't dare to let it show.

Dakota: Maria?

Maria: Yes...

Dakota: Look I know you don't want to hear this, but if you want to get better you can't push people away so much. Your whole entire life was just you thinking that this is your problem, and only you can handle it and no one else gets involved. Don't you realize that this only hurts more people than you think, you even pushed away Madame Mignard and that never happens. You always turned to her for help when you needed it the most, and you told her to leave you alone. I don't want that for me too, I'm your Parabati and it is my job to help you. I can't say that I know what you're going through, because I don't and I never met my family or don't have any clue of who they are. That's why I look at you and Madame Mignard, the both of you are like family to me and now with Hector and Alyssa in my life that just means that my family grew like a flower in late spring. Please Maria, just tell me what it is it that you're feeling and no matter how hard you try to say nothing I'm going to figure it out and when I do I'll rush here and I won't tell you of what I know instead I'll be here and you and I are going to fight this together.

After the whole entire speech that came out of Dakota's mouth Maria had went to her shoulder, and cried her out. Dakota had comforted her, and kept telling her that she was here and everything was going to be okay. After two hours of Maria's sobbing she stopped, stood up, and was finally ready to talk.

Maria: I feel so numb Dakota, I mean...I killed my brothers and they are never coming back...I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye.

Dakota: Remember when you saw the remains of them, and having them go up into the clouds. You were the first person to see it, and you had seen it all before anyone else could see it.

Maria: I know, but....I just....

Dakota: Even if you didn't get a chance to get to say goodbye at least you got to see them again, and they would never want you to be like this. They would want you to be strong, and continue your life until your time comes. How can you actually live when you are still here, and not being out there with your loved ones?

Maria had thought about this for a long time, and she didn't know what to say when Dakota had said that was the truth.

Dakota: I'll leave you be, but can you at least come down for breakfast in the morning? I think they're serving pancakes, your favorite.

Maria: I'll think about it.

Dakota: Okay.

Dakota was about to left, but then Maria had stopped her to ask her one more question.

Maria: Do you think that you could stay here tonight?

Dakota: Sure.

Dakota and Maria got in bed, and Maria had went close to her because she didn't want to let go of her Parabati.
