Marinette woke up to Tikki and Plagg dancing around her in a circular motion to try and grab her attention.
"What? What's happening?" grumbled Marinette.
"Oh silly Marinette! It's your birthday!" cried Tikki, as the kwamis stopped dancing.
"No it's not," groaned Marinette, as she flopped her head back onto her pillow.
"Good morning birthday girl," said a cheerful voice as her father came up the stairs. The kwamis quickly hid under Marinette's pillow.

"Wait what?!" she cried, sitting up suddenly.
"What's up sweetie?" asked Sabine, appearing beside her husband.
"I... I didn't know it was my birthday today," stammered Marinette awkwardly.
"You were very busy yesterday so maybe it slipped out of your mind?" suggested Tom, as he let a heartily laugh slip.

When they went downstairs, Marinette got out of bed and changed into her everyday clothes.
"Who's excited for parties, presents and  feasts?" asked Plagg excitedly.
"Did Adrien have to put up with this?" asked Marinette with a giggle.
"Yes. You'll learn to love me," said Plagg with a grin.
"We already do, Plagg," smiled Tikki, as Marinette gave him a small stroke under his chin.

Adrien, Alya, Nino and their kwamis came upstairs with gifts just as Plagg his inside of Marinette's purse.
"Happy birthday Marinette," cheered Adrien.
She opened Adrien's gift and it was a photo of all four of them with their kwamis.
"Thanks Adrien!" cried Marinette.

Next she opened Nino's gift. It was a new designer book.
"In case you run out of room in your current one," said Nino with a friendly smile as he pointed to the open sketchbook on Marinette's desk.
"Thanks Nino!" cried Marinette, as she wrapped him in a hug.

Alya cleared her throat, demanding the attention be put on her. Marinette backed away from the hug and focused all of her attention on her best friend, awaiting the birthday present.

Finally, she opened Alya's.
It was a friendship bracelet. Marinette saw Alya was wearing one and she hugged her. The kwamis senses two presences coming upstairs and hid in their owner's pockets.

Tom and Sabine came up into her room and gave her even more presents.
One was a new laptop, another was a bean bag. Chloe came in and gave her a purse. Juleka gave her a camera. Rose gave her a hat. And more people gave her presents.

She took Adrien, Nino, Alya and a few more friends ice-skating. Then, they went home to have a party.

The birthday cake was delicious. The music was epic. The party food was scrumptious.

After all of that excitement, everyone went upstairs and received thank you presents. They tried to deny them since it was her birthday, but she insisted. Chloe got a new jacket. Juleka got a bracelet. Rose got some perfume. Alya got a phone-case. Nino got some bubbles. Adrien got a scarf.

Then, some of them left and others went roller-skating with her.

"This is so fun!" exclaimed Nino. Alya swung Nino around and then held his hand while roller-skating. Juleka went off and did some tricks. Adrien stayed behind with Marinette.

"Mari, you know I love you right," smiled Adrien.
"Of course I do," giggled Marinette. He slipped his hand in hers before he gave her a birthday kiss.

"I'll be off. Bye Marinette! Happy birthday!" yelled Juleka, as she gave them a wave. Alya and Nino stayed to roller-skate with Marinette and Adrien for a bit longer.

"How's your birthday been?" asked Alya.
"The best! Because I got to spend it with the most amazing people in the world!" exclaimed Marinette. They all went into a group hug.

When Adrien got home, his father and Natalie were there waiting for him.
"What took you so long?" asked Gabriel.
"I just went out with Marinette to celebrate her birthday," sighed Adrien.
"You should have told us where you were going Adrien. Your father was worried for your safety," snapped Natalie.

"It was my girlfriend's birthday, father. Surely you celebrated my mother's birthday with her," protested Adrien.
"Not without telling my parents where I was going!" snapped Gabriel.
"I didn't think it mattered. I thought I was at an age where I could leave the house whenever I pleased," mumbled Adrien.
"You should know by now Adrien. You will never be at an age to come and go as you please. I will always have to be informed of where you are going," snapped Gabriel.

"Father, that's unfair!" protested Adrien.
"You should know better! Go to your room! You will not be going out with those friends of yours for a week!" yelled Gabriel.
"Yes father," sighed Adrien. Natalie escorted him to his room.

Meanwhile, Alya and Nino were having a sleepover at Marinette's house.
"Girl, surely that was the best birthday ever!" cried Alya.
"It was!" exclaimed Marinette.
"Glad you had fun," said Nino with a smile.
