Guys I am so sorry I haven't updated in ages!! I have been very busy with school and homework and friendship that I have forgotten about you! I am really sorry!! To make up for it, I am going to post a new chapter! Enjoy!
"Marinette?" whispered a voice.
"Huh? What?" she asked sleepily.
"Your going to be late!" cried another voice.
She opened her eyes slowly and saw Plagg and Tikki watching her intently.
"What's wrong? What am I missing?" asked Marinette, letting out a loud yawn.
"School!" the two kwamis yelled.
"Okay. Wait... no!!" she yelped.
She quickly fell down her ladder, got changed into her usual attire, brushed her teeth, brushed her hair and ran outside.
"Sweetie!" her mom called before she got out there.
"Yes mom?" asked Marinette, jogging on the door showing that she really wanted to leave.
"Breakfast?" asked Tom.
"No thanks! I'm already late as it is!" she yelled before running across the street.
Whilst running up the stairs, she got a text from Alya and slowed to a walk.
"What is it?" asked Plagg.
"Apparently there is no school because of what happened last night?" said Marinette, reading it aloud.
"What happened last night?" asked Tikki, obliviously.
"I guess the akuma damaged the school?" assumed Plagg.
"Oh of course. There was an akuma attack last night," said Tikki, realisation hitting her in the face. Plagg let a small chuckle escape his lips before he fell silent.
"Hey Marinette!" cried Adrien with a wave as he got out of his car. The driver began to drive off leaving Adrien and Marinette alone on the pavement.
"Oh, hi. I thought you said you were grounded for a week? Because two days ago, on my birthday, you stayed out late?" teased Marinette, nudging him in the ribs.
"Yeah but we have school today," he said, pointing out what would usually be the obvious.
"Well, it won't be long until he finds out that school isn't on. You should wait here before getting your hopes up of a day free," Marinette said with a smirk.
"There's no school today?" cried Adrien. Marinette nodded with a chuckle.
"Yes and we can't have you in any more trouble than you are in right now," said Marinette with a giggle.
"Alright. I miss being Chat Noir. Usually, if I'm grounded, I'd be Chat Noir to be free from the rules. Alas, I don't know where Plagg is or my ring. But, why isn't Ladybug with them?" he asked.
"I already told you this Charon.i need a break and it can't be Ladybug without her trusty partner, Chat Noir. Now I'm going home and back to bed. Goodbye kitty," she explained, rolling her eyes.
She ran home to find Carapace and Rena Rouge waiting for her in her bedroom.
"Guys? What are you doing here?" asked Marinette. "I thought you'd use your day off school to your advantage."
"We did. But now we needa break," said Carapace, before detransforming.
"Yeah. Badically, we went for a walk, as our superhero form, and fans crowded around. We came here when no one saw us," explained Rena Rouge, before she too detransformed.
"Well why didn't you go as your civilian forms?" asked Marinette.
"Duh. We wanted to walk on the rooftops," said Alya, rolling her eyes.
"And practice our parkour," added Nino.
Marinette let Plagg and Tikki out to play with Wayzz and Trixx.
"What about Adrien?" asked Nino.
"I swear he knows I have Plagg. He said to me earlier that he missed being Chat Noir. He misses Plagg," explained Marinette, before collapsing onto her chaise.
"Trust me girl, if Plagg and Master Fu thought that he wasn't ready to take the responsibility of a superhero because of everything that's going on with his civilian life, then he isn't," said Alya with a playful smirk.
"Yeah, I guess your right," said Marinette, letting out a defeated sigh.
"And besides, Master knows a lot we don't know," said Wayzz, flying away from his three kwami friends
"I want to be LadyNoir," said Marinette happily.
Nino and Alya nodded and transformed.
"Tikki, Plagg, unify!" cried Marinette.
Her cool costume appeared and Rena Rouge couldn't help but gasp at it.
"Seriously? Fangirling?" dcoffed LadyNoir.
"Sorry," Rena Rouge said with a chuckle.
They ran out of Marinette's bedroom and made their way towards the Eiffel Tower.
"Hey Rena Rouge. Hi Carapace," said a voice.
"And I believe your LadyNoir."
They turned around to see Adrien.
"Adrien? Aren't you grounded?" asked Carapace awkwardly.
"No dude. I was ungrounded due to photo shoots and everything," he said with a shrug. "I'm actually on my way to one now. Just decided to take the senic route."
"Oh my god. You're Adrien Agreste! H-hi... I'm LadyNoir. T-the newest addition to the team," said LadyNoir, acting all nervous as she extended a hand for him to shake.
Adrien looked at it and then looked at her face and glared.
"Listen, drop the act. I don't care who you are. You know that I'm Chat Noir! So hand over my miraculous!" snapped Adrien.
"Ooo a snappy one, aren't you?" giggled LadyNoir. "Listen, no can do. I'm only here for a little while until your proven fit to be Chat Noir again."
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"You will have to figure that out for yourself," she teased.
She was trying not to feel hurt inside. She knew she couldn't tell him that she was his girlfriend. It would crush him! It was just like when they first met as superheroes. They couldn't reveal their identities.
"Enough with the mind tricks! Just hand him over!" he said firmly.
"She can't do that Adrien," said another voice. It belonged to an old enemy of Ladybug's. Queen Bee. Well, technically Queen Bee wasn't an enemy of Ladybug. She was an enemy of Marinette, sure, but not Ladybug.
"And why not?" he asked, crossing his arms.
"Because Plagg chose her to keep him safe whilst you figure out everything wrong in your life right now," she groaned.
"Dude, you need to rest," added Carapace.
"Alya, help me," LadyNoir whispered quietly whilst Adrien grew even more annoyed as he protested against Carapace.
"I can't girl," whispered Rena Rouge.
"Fine," she said with a sigh.
"Adrien, Plagg is fine. I feed him Camembert, he gets to see his sugar cube. It all works out for the best. He will come home soon. He... he just wants a vacation," snapped LadyNoir.
"Did you steal Ladybug's kwami too?" he asked.
"W-what?" cried Ladybug.
"You heard me," insisted Adrien.
"N-no. Ladybug gave me Tikki to look after whilst you sort your personal problems out," explained LadyNoir quietly before she ran off off. Queen Bee, Carapace and Rena Rouge followed her because they didn't want to stick around and deal with Adrien anymore.
The group found themselves back in Marinette's bedroom. They all detransformed, except LadyNoir, who still remained in costume.
"Why aren't you going to detransform?" asked Alya.
"Because she's here," said LadyNoir, pointing to Chloe.
"Don't worry. Secret is safe with me," groaned Chloe. LadyNoir mumbled her detransformation words before closing her eyes. She didn't want to look upon her nemesis's face.
"Marinette?" Chloe gasped.
