"Hey Marinette!" cried Adrien as he and Nino strolled over to her and Alya. Today was the day. The day Nino had convinced him to talk to Marinette about how he feels for her. The day... he would confess.
"Hi Adrien!" said Marinette with a cheerful smile.
"Hi Adrien!" cried a voice everyone would like to forget from behind them.
"Lila?" gasped Alya. Nino frowned.
He walked into an alleyway where Wayzz proceeded to talk to him. Alya knew from one look at Lila that there would be trouble in paradise before it even began.
"What are you doing back here?" asked Adrien with a friendly smile, as she walked up to them.
"Oh thought I'd come see how your doing," said Lila with a wink. Adrien blushed bright red and Marinette walked off to find Nino observing by the steps of the school.
"Well, how are you?" asked Adrien.
"I was feeling down but I am feeling much better now that I'm with you," said Lila, gazing into his eyes.
Alya just stood there and watched in horror. Things would turn bad and she knew it.
Meanwhile...
"I'm fed up with him! We need a plan!" announced Nino, glancing over at Marinette who stared at Adrien sadly. Nino hated watching his best friend's heart break as his other best friend proceeded to ignore his and her feelings for one another and find other love interests.
"Good idea but what?"asked Marinette after a few moments of silence.
Nino plunged towards her and kissed her. She was shocked at first and tried to pull away. But Nino gripped onto her shoulder as if to say he would explain after.
Adrien watched this, slowly processing what just happened. Alya turned to see what was going on and smirked. She always knew Nino had feelings for Marinette.
"Oh wow! Looks like Marinette and Nino decided to become 'official'! Don't you think they're a perfect couple, Adrien?" asked Alya.
"Yeah... sure... um... whatever!" said Adrien, playing cool.
"You have some explaining to do," hissed Marinette as the kiss ended.
"Everyone, listen up! Marinette is now my girlfriend!" yelled Nino, copying what Adrien did when he announced that Chloe was his girlfriend. No one was really around but there were a few claps from the people that heard. Marinette, however, blushed as red as a tomato but was as confused as a person trying to solve an algebra question.
"Are you sure you can do that? I mean, you have to go on a few dates first," informed Adrien, trying to break them up.
"We've been on a few dates and found out we have a lot in common," said Nino with a grin. Marinette stood there wide-eyed. "She likes music, I do too," said Nino and joined his hand with hers.
"Well good for you! Me and Adrien have become 'official' too!" said Lila through gritted teeth.
"No we..." He was interrupted by being kissed by Lila.
"Oh my god. Me and you literally just broke up and now you're with... ugh, what's your name again?" scoffed Chloe.
"You're one to talk. You think no one knows about you and Mr Elliot. More richer than Mr Agreste," said Lila with a smirk. "You'd hate it if my new boyfriend here was taken from you and then Elliot break up with you. Because you'd have no one to run off to."
"You're just jealous," scoffed Chloe, seeing the truth in what Lila said.
"Your wrong! Everyone else is jealous!" snapped Lila glaring at them.
"Who cares? I have a date with a rockstar!" cried Chloe and strutted off.
Marinette, Nino and Alya walked off.
"Explain to me what that was!" shrieked Marinette.
"I told Nino the plan. In order to try and get Adrien's attention, you had to date someone that was close to him. Then, he'd feel guilty, angry. And eventually, the truth will just pour out," explained.Wayzz.
"Nice plan Wayzz. But a heads up next time would be appreciated," said Marinette with a sigh.
After school, Nino and Alya walked home with Marinette.
"Mom, Nino and I are going out!" announced Marinette.
"Good for you two!" congratulated
Sabine.
"Not for long though. This is just all part of a master plan. So, DAD, don't treat him like a son-in-law!" said Marinette, pointing at Tom.
"Me? Do that? I-I have no idea what... what you're talking a-about," stammered Tom, looking at the ceiling nervously and going a bright.
Ring! Ring!
"Hey dude. What's up? ," said Nino as he answered his phone. He put it on loudspeaker.
"Why did you kiss Marinette?" growled Adrien.
"Because she's my girlfriend. Are you jealous?" asked Nino smugly.
"No because I have Lila. Who, by the way, is way better than Chloe!" declared Adrien.
"You sound jealous! And I didn't ask about Lila at all," said Nino with a chuckle.
"Because I am," hissed Adrien.
Adrien hung up on Nino. Marinette's jaw dropped and Alya's eyes widened.
"Adrien is jealous but won't admit it," laughed Nino.
"He is jealous but unwilling to break up with Lila!" chuckled Alya, coming to grips with Nino knowing and never telling that Adrien had feelings for Marinette. Nino and Marinette chuckled with her. The plan was... sorta working.
