The three heroes, Ladybug, Rena Rouge and Carapace, made their way to the Eiffel Tower after a long fight. They decided to relax and watch the sun go down as that was what they liked to do after a tough day. Rena Rouge believed it may help Marinette cheer up after what happened at school.
"Fancy seeing you here m'lady," said Chat Noir from the shadows.
"Not now-" Ladybug was cut off by the sound of Queen Bee as she jumped onto the top of the Eiffel Tower and stood in front of them all.
"And you kitty," said Queen Bee with a dazzling smile.
Rena Rouge and Carapace let their jaws drop in shock. Chat Noir always got irritated easily by Queen Bee.
Ladybug did not feel the same shock as the two friends. She just stared at the sunset sadly.
"Guys, do you like my new girlfriend?" asked Chat Noir.
Queen Bee wrapped her arms around Chat Noir and smiled.
"We... uh... have to go," stammered Rena Rouge. Carapace lifted Ladybug up and they all ran back to Marinette's house.
"What's up with them? And why did Ladybug ignore me? This day makes no sense!" cried Chat Noir, sitting down and shaking himself off of Queen Bee.
"Kitty, they probably don't feel like being friends with you. I'm the only one you need. And Ladybug is just jealous," groaned Queen Bee, growing impatient with his 'friends'.
Chat Noir smiled weakly as Queen Bee sat beside him.
Meanwhile in Marinette's bedroom...
"Ladybug, are you ok?" asked Carapace, as he placed Ladybug down onto her lounge chair.
"No, not really. Everything is falling apart. And I don't know how to keep things together. All I want to do is cry and be angry for just a moment, but Hawkmoth prevents anyone from feeling anger. And I'm the only one who can de-evilise akumas," said Ladybug quietly, as she contemplated how horrible her day is going.
"Tikki, spots off," sighed Ladybug.
"Marinette, are you ok?" asked Tikki.
"No she isn't. She just got rejected at school and then had her whole life change at the Eiffel Tower," explained Rena Rouge, as Marinette zoned out.
"Poor Marinette," said Tikki sadly, as she looked out of the window.
Meanwhile...
"Plagg, claws in!" cried Chat Noir.
"Kid, did you see Ladybug's face when Queen Bee hugged you?" asked Plagg, hoping Adrien did.
"No. Why?" asked Adrien.
"Well first of all, she kinda looked sad. You had a whole akuma battle and that whole Eiffel Tower thing and you didn't notice her behaviour. Second of all, she looked utterly hurt. And third of all, you should've asked her what was wrong as she looked distracted," explained Plagg.
"But why? Why would she be hurt?" asked Adrien, paying attention to the hurt part the most.
"Who cares what Ladybug thinks?" asked Chloe, as she entered Adrien's room.
"Chlo, Ladybug is my best friend in the entire world. I felt like I could share anything with her. I'm an idiot for not caring about the other way around. I didn't even know she was upset. And I care for her," explained Adrien.
"No one cares about Ladybug. Talk to you at school Adrikins!" groaned Chloe as she left Adrien's room.
Back at Mari's house...
"Girl, you have to believe in yourself. You don't need Adrien!" exclaimed Alya.
"Yeah, if I don't need Adrien as a friend then neither do you," added Nino in agreement.
"Plus, Adrien doesn't deserve a girl like you," commented Wayzz.
"I agree," nodded Trixx.
"I agree with them Mari. You don't need Chat Noir or Adrien," smiled Tikki.
"I guess you're all right. But I loved Adrien. He isn't that hard to let go of just like that!" protested Marinette. Alya sighed sadly.
"But I'll try. For you guys," said Marinette in a sigh, as she stood up slowly.
"That's our girl!" cried Alya.
"Want any cookies?" asked Sabine as she opened the trapdoor. Luckily, the kwamis were prepared and had hidden the second she did. They all looked at each other and nodded.
"Yes please!" they said in unison.
Knock Knock!
"Coming!" yelled Marinette as she trudged down the stairs. Alya and Nino followed closely behind her.
"Hey Marinette!" said Adrien with a wave, when she opened the door.
Marinette's eyes widened and her body went into autopilot. She slammed the door in his face and without thinking, locked it.
Knock! Knock!
"Shh, stay quiet!" whispered Nino as the group tip-toed upstairs, forgetting all about the cookies.
Once they arrived upstairs, Alya began shaking Marinette with excitement.
"Girl! You freaking slammed the door on your crush! Way to go girl!" squealed Alya. Marinette began to get dizzy so Alya stopped shaking her. Alya began laughing and the two other teenagers joined in.
"Marinette?" asked a voice from the trapdoor. They all stopped laughing and watched in horror as Adrien came upstairs.
"I think Mum let him in," whispered Marinette, her sadness flowing back to her.
"Oh hey Nino. I was just looking for you!" cried Adrien with a small wave. Nino closed his eyes and pretended Adrien didn't exist.
"FINE BE THAT WAY!! I'M LUCKY TO HAVE A GIRLFRIEND THAT TREATS ME BETTER THAN YOU EVER DID!" yelled Adrien.
"ADRIEN GET OUT!" shouted Marinette, her anger getting the best of her.
"Is everything ok up there?" asked Tom, stepping into Marinette's room.
"Yes just fine. Adrien's just leaving that's all!" said Alya fiercely, as she ran to her best friend's side.
