"Hey Adrikins!" cried Chloe, with a wave.
It was a warm afternoon and Chloe and Adrien were hanging around the steps leading to the front doors of the school. Chloe needed to talk to Adrien desperately. And she knew it what she would say would end up breaking him like a twig.
"Hi Chlo," said Adrien, putting his arms around her. She pushed away from him, leaving him confused.
"Listen, no easy way to say this but I'll say it anyway," sighed Chloe sadly. Adrien thought she was going to say I love you at last. He thought they were at that stage.
"I'm breaking up with you!" she announced quickly.
"What? Why?" asked Adrien, his heart breaking.
"Well, a famous singer, Elliot, asked me out. And I really like him," explained Chloe slowly, choosing her choice of words carefully.
"Fine, I don't need you!" cried Adrien. Chloe felt sadness fill her heart before she walked past him into the school. Adrien turned to walk away but ended up bumping into Marinette. He helped Marinette to her feet, but she ran to the girls bathroom before he could say anything.
"There will be no way to apologise now," he sighed.
"Alya!" cried Nino. Adrien looked over to Nino's general direction and had an idea. Nino was the easiest to forgive people. If Nino forgave Adrien, maybe he could convince the girls to forgive him?
"Nino!" cried Adrien. Nino heard Adrien and chose to avoid him. He ran to Alya and they ran to the door of the girls bathroom."Girl are you ok?" asked Alya, banging on the door several times.
"Not really," sighed Marinette.
"If you're able to come out with a smile, ice-cream after school is on me," whispered Nino. Marinette came out with an ecstatic smile plastered on her face.
"You mentioned ice cream that you're paying for?" she said with a chuckle. Alya fell into a fit of laughter before they walked to class."Ok class, welcome to today's lesson," said Miss Bustier as everyone sat in their seats. Adrien put his hand up.
"Yes Adrien?" she asked with a smile.
"Before the lesson begins, can I say something to the class?" asked Adrien, putting his hand down.
"May I go to the toilet?" asked Nino, Marinette and Alya at the same time.
"Adrien, if it's something unrelated to Shakespeare, then please do it after class," sighed Miss Bustier.
"Never mind," said the three with a sigh of relief. Adrien sighed too. But it was one of disappointment and sadness. He knew they wouldn't talk to him after class. So when could he talk to them?"It doesn't matter now miss. I forgot... what I was going to say," he whispered sadly.
Miss Bustier nodded and began the lesson. After class...
"Hi ADRIKINS!" cried Chloe happily.
"What did the singer reject you?" snapped Adrien.
"No, I just like calling you Adrikins," she replied in a hurt tone and walked away.
"Alya, let's go. Bye Nino!" he heard Marinette say.
Adrien's face lit up. Now was his chance to talk to Nino!
