Chapter 9

Yukari opened her eyes, "Akira!"

Akira flicked her eyes open, "Yukari? What's wrong?"

"Y-your eyes." Yukari responded, covering her mouth.

Akira's eyes were glowing golden.

"They're gold." Yukari continued.

Akira was confused, "What do you mean, Yukari?"

Yukari picked up her katana, and lifted it up to Akira's head. The katana gave of a reflection of the red haired female. Her eyes were definitely golden.

"W-what?" Akira mumbled as she rubbed her eyes. When she opened them, it revealed the same result, golden eyes.

Yukari looked into the new eyes of her love interest. "Those eyes seem familiar to me... But I haven't seen anyone with these eyes."

Yukari cupped Akira's cheek, "I-I don't know what's going on, Akira. But as long as nothing else happens you should be fine..."

Akira sighed, " You should be getting back to your tent... We have training to do tomorrow anyways."

Yukari blushed, "S-sure..."

"Something wrong Yukari?" Akira questioned before she left the tent.

"Um... You see, I..." Yukari stumbled, "I can't sleep so..."

Yukari muttered something that Akira couldn't hear.

"I couldn't catch the need part Yukari.. Could you please repeat it?" Akira apologized.

"Iwantyouto..." Yukari rushed.

"Yukari... What is it?!" Akira teased.

"I want you to sleep with me!!" Yukari yelled.

Akira blushed, "Alright..?"

Yukari blushed as she hid her face in Akira's blanket.

"We can just sleep here, I guess...." Akira's face flushed red.

Yukari nodded. Akira climbed into bed and slept to the left. Yukari slept to the right. 

"Just hug her!" Yukari thought, "She won't mind, right?! I mean she knows that you can't sleep so just turn around and hug her!"

Before Yukari could even turn, she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist.

"Sorry if this bothers you.. But I have an urge to.." Akira sighed

Yukari's face was flustered brightly. She nodded to tell Akira it was alright. Akira sighed in relief and brought Yukari closer to her. Yukari soon enough fell asleep.

Akira smiled, "Goodnight my little Neko.... I love you...".
