::49:: The Mother

The doors were open

As soon as Victory stepped inside, the air went intensely warm. The snake still with her

"Kid, be careful, the Priestess is deaf, but they have a lot of eyes" a voice whispers, as she gulps she walks amongst the shadows, her eyes constantly shifting around, watching for the Priestess, at any moment it could strike, with the silence of the room and Victory's thoughts raced through her distressed mind

What if it sees me ?

What if I scream ?

"Stop." The voice said, so she stopped, she heard a noise as she shifted her eyes to the side

A monstrous being, slouched, long arms, claws drifting on the floor, teeth covered in what seems to be a lot of colored blood, looks like Victory wasn't the first

"Remember, it's deaf, and fast, try to stay in the shadows" the voice said as Victory runs, hoping that whatever Priestess thing was didn't see her, but she heard a snapping noise, she turned around, the monster was staring right at her, it's eyes glued to her chest, right where the heart is, in a moment of adrenaline, Victory quickly moved, grabbing the things arm, if you can call it that, and using one of her metallic claws, slashing it off, the beast made a blood curdling scream, so Victory ran faster to the source of the heat, the thing still chasing after her, a new arm came out, as Victory reached the door to the Mother Of Fire's room, she blocked the door by moving a chair to the door

"Ok, now what?" She muttered as the door banged, causing Victory to yelp

"That door won't hold itself." The voice whispers as Victory shouts

"Alright! I'm tired of this! Who are you? And why are you telling me this!" Her voice echoes through the room as she clenches her fists

"I'm telling you this because my brother is with you" the voice says

"What? Who's your brother?!" Victory asks as the voice hushes her

"Don't listen to the snake, not the Capricorn, the snake on your hand" it says as Victory looks at the snake, it's eyes gleam red for a second "It's infected with corruption, one bite and you'll die, I need you to step slowly to the statue." The voice says as Victory carefully steps to the statue, the snake asleep

"Now, as fast as possible, slam your hand into the statue." The voice says, as Victory mutters "Why?" She asks "The poison will break the statue." The voice replies as Victory sighs

The snake was awake now, as soon as it was going to bite Victory

"Fuck it!" She shouts as she smashes her hand into the statue, almost breaking her hand in the process, as the snake hit the statue, she heard a demonic screech come from the snake as it withered away

"Ew." Victory groans as the statue started to crumble, she bubbled herself as the statue broke, as soon as the dust settled, a woman was there, she had dark red hair, the ends black as ash, she seemed to be weak

"Oh my god, are you ok?" Victory asks as she lets down her bubble as the woman coughs

"I'm fine.. what year is it?" She asked

"2017" Victory responded as her eyes widen

"What?! No, no no no!" She said as she frantically looked for a mirror, when she found one she looked, one of her eyes were bleeding ash, she was damaged

"Where's my brother?" She asked as Victory raised a brow

"Ma'am, I don't know your brother." She says as the lady shakes her head

"No, you know him, he's tall, 'round eight feet" she says

Wyvern.

"Wyvern??" Victory asks as the lady nods

"Yes, yes he's here, I need to see him." She says as Victory interrupts her

"Who are you?" She asks

"Not important at the moment." The lady says as she opens the door, the Priestess was gone, so she walked out, Victory slowly following her, as the lady's steps slow down, then she stopped, she fell on her knees

"Damn..guess I'm still not used to walking again." She muttered as Victory held out her hand

"C'mon" She said as the lady took her hand

"Flare"

"What?"

"My name, it's Flare." The lady says as Victory says

"Plush said you died." She replies

"Plush? Oh, Markus, poor thing, he lived in my village, he was there when I got married." Flare smiles as her memories come back to her

"Till death do us part"

"You may kiss the bride"

"Eden.." Flare murmured as her head is flooded with memories, as she tries her best not to cry, her body begins to emit more ash then it has

"Woah, calm down Flare, you're emitting more ash" Victory said as Flare sighs

"I'm sorry, it's just, I'm not used to these slumbers, and I feel bad I didn't get to spend more time with my husband" she says, looking at her wedding ring as she chuckles "I'm still in my wedding gown" she said as she smiled as a voice echoed through her head
