This was the day, the day you were going to tell Kanda how you felt.
Your best friend Daisya knew about it and he was preparing everything to be perfect for when you told him, making things around the order romantic and getting your approval for them before getting giddy about it.
"Dude, Kanda is gonna be so shook at how much effort we've put into this, he'll just melt like butter for you," your Turkish friend said, putting up some streamers around the dining hall.
You even had Miranda and Krory helping you with the decor too. You'd be damned if this wasn't going to go over well.
"I-I hope so," you stammered. Even with all the effort, your confidence was a bit shaken by just how intimidating Kanda could be.
Miranda fell from a ladder suddenly on top of you, covering you in ribbons and glitter as Kanda entered into the dining hall.
"Che, what are you idiots doing?" He asked.
You struggled to get out of the pile of ribbons as Miranda apologized over and over again, and when Daisya glanced over and saw the pile of moving, glittery ribbons, he snickered. There were so many ribbons on top of you that no one could even see you! Why was Miranda holding so many?!
"We're just decorating," Krory answered.
"Whatever."
As you finally managed to get out of the decorations trapping you, you saw Kanda had already turned tail and left to get food from Jerry.
When you noticed you were covered in glitter, you got out of the ribbon pile and shook your head. "I can't tell him with all this glitter on me, he'll think I'm weird or something. I'm gonna go take a bath."
"I'm so so sorry!" Miranda cried.
"No, it's ok Miranda, don't worry about it," You answered and gave her a reassuring smile. "He hasn't caught on yet, so we're fine." You looked over at Daisya who was still laughing. "Initiate plan 2, I'll be back."
"Will do! Alright, exorcist squad, roll out!" He called. They began moving decorations to the hallways as you made your way to your room to clean up all the glitter. God, there was so much freaking glitter...
-
"How's it going team?" you asked as you entered into the beautifully adorned hallway. Krory had helped Daisya roll out a giant cake near Kanda's room, and Miranda was sweeping up the dirt and leftover decorations and such.
"We're looking set to go, Kanda is in his room right now, all you have to do is knock," Daisya answered quietly.
"Sweeeet," You said. You made your way towards the samurai's door, steeling yourself up to talk to him when you heard Allen and Lavi's laughter in the distance.
"Oh no, They're gonna ruin the plan!" You hissed. "Krory, make them go away!"
Krory nodded. "On it!"
But as soon as Krory moved to stop them, Allen and Lavi had already seen the cake and decorations.
"Oooh, what is this all for? Is it someone's birthday?" Lavi asked, running over to the cake.
Allen joined him and nearly drooled. "Can I have some cake?" he asked.
"It's for Kanda!" Miranda answered.
"So you'll make a cake for Jerkanda but not me?! I'll show him-!" Allen exclaimed angrily before grabbing a whole handfull of cake and shoveling it into his mouth.
"No! Don't do that!" you cried out, trying to stop Allen from ruining it, but it was clearly too late.
"Allen stop!" Miranda said, jumping to the other side of him and pulling him away from the cake.
