Lavi peeked over your shoulder and you huffed in response to this. You knew what he was going to ask.

Every day, you came to the library, sat at a typewriter and gently placed the paper you had already typed ink into before continuing to work on it. It was a book in progress, and it was something you were working on when you weren't aiding other exorcists on the battlefield.

"What are you writing?" Lavi asked.

"My book," you answered tiredly.

"Can I read it?"

"I'm busy."

Lavi whined a bit before you stopped typing, yanked the paper up from the type writer and handed it to him. "Fine, read it."

Lavi scanned over it with his one emerald eye while you crossed your arms and awaited for him to finish so you could return to work on it.

"There's a typo here," he pointed out.

"Wait, really?" You glanced over and saw he was pointing at a misspelling of the word "Embarrassment". "Damn, you're right."

"Also, why is the main character so conflicted about eating a bowl of cereal in front of this Derek guy?"

"Well, she's afraid because she's lactose intolerant, but he made it for her when she woke up. Derek is her crush, but she doesn't want to make herself look like an idiot."

"She does realize that she looks more like an idiot for not eating a damn bowl of cereal."

"No, she doesn't, Lavi."

"Also, why did she wake up on the floor in his house?"

"Because Derek is sercretly evil, duh! He dragged her there because earlier in the story she felt sleepy at lunch because he drugged her, and he wants to kill her."

"Man, this is definitely intense _____. But it doesn't entirely click together, ya know? Like why does he want to kill her? And why would he drag her to his house to feed her a bowl of cereal?"

"I had writers block ok? I can't help it when I run out of ideas!"

Lavi chuckled. "I should be your co-writer _____, it'd be super cool! The misadventures of Zavian, by Lavi and _______."

You shook your head and snatched the story away from him. "That's cute, but no. I can do this on my own."

"Aw, come on! I'm really helpful, I know a lot! Plus we could hang out more," Lavi pleaded.

You thought about it and argued about it. Lavi was good at pointing out plot holes and typos and other problems, but he also tended to be a pain in the ass when he did so. It kind of grinded on your nerves, but you also liked him so it was somewhat acceptable. "Hmmm.... Well, what do you think should happen to Zavian?"

Lavi grinned when he realized that you were inviting him to help and the both of you began spouting on about how to work out the story.

At one point, Bookman stopped in to see what Lavi was doing and all he saw was the both you frantically looking through books together to get ideas. To him, he thought Lavi was actually researching and doing bookman work, so he approved it as a useful use of time and left the two of you to it.

You worked together every day to finish the book, squabbling about this detail and that and that should happen next with occasional laughs and snacks. One time, you got up late to work on it on your own but found Lavi already waiting for you.

"I couldn't sleep either, Zavian needs us."

You grinned widely. It was nice to have someone who was as interested in your book as you were.

You worked late in the night together until you found yourself drifting off while typing and leaning against Lavi, murmuring something incoherent.

He was surprised at first, but he too was tired and found himself falling asleep as well. It was three in the morning after all. He yawned, wrapped his arms around you and rested his head atop yours before smiling. "You're the greatest, you know that _____?"
