When spending time with Krory, you knew the hardest thing for him to cope with was Eliade, so you never mentioned that you had feelings for him. Ever. Period.

It would just bring the poor man too much pain, and you knew that, so you just enjoyed the times you did spend with him, trying to ignore the tugging within your heart that you felt when you looked at him.

"Hey ______, did you notice that store over there? I think they're selling some of your favorite food, should we stop by?" Krory asked you, snapping you out of your thoughts.

"Oh, we don't have to," you replied with a smile. "That's sweet of you to think of stopping by for me."

Krory reciprocated the expression. "We really should, besides I'm hungry anyways and I'm sure you are too. We've been walking for quite awhile."

You nodded. "Alright, we'll go then."

The both of you walked across the dark grey brick of the city you'd been scouting for innocence and approached one of the more rustic looking buildings of the city, although it was quite large and had (Favorite food) displayed in the window.

You both entered and Krory caught the attention of the woman who was working the counter. "Excuse me miss, but I was wondering if I could get some (favorite food) for ______," he asked. "She really likes it, and I noticed you were selling it."

The woman smiled kindly. "Aren't you such a sweet man. She's lucky to have someone as nice as you to take care of her," she said. "I'll get it right away, just a moment."

As she left, you recognized a bit of sadness in Krory's features but you didn't say anything because you knew what he was thinking about.

The woman returned with (favorite food) before handing it to Krory and accepting a large sum of payment from him. She was shocked.

"I can't take all this money from you just for the small bit of food you ordered," she said, trying to hand it back.

"Oh no, I'm about to order food for myself," he replied with a smile, then began listing foods he wanted to eat before the woman hurriedly left to fufill his order, calling for you both to sit down at a table while you waited.

During this time, you thought it was best to thank him for bringing you here and buying food for you. "It was very kind of you to stop just because you saw food and thought of me first before yourself."

He grinned. "Well of course! Why wouldn't I?"

"Well, most people only look out for themselves. If you care about someone, you take care of them and..."

"Oh goodness, have I really made myself that obvious?" He asked suddenly.

"What? What do you mean?"

The food he ordered arrived and he shook his head, his white bangs swaying about. "Nevermind, let's eat."

You both began to dig into your food and of course you finished before Krory did.

"What did you mean?" You asked again.

"Hmm?" He questioned, chomping down into some large cookies.

"You said "have I made myself that obvious". What did you mean?"

Krory set his food down and looked down for a moment before wiping his face with a napkin. "There's no escaping you is there?" He then chuckled and met your gaze. "I didn't think I could, ever again... But even after Eliade, I can't help finding myself falling for you."

You blushed and felt your heart nearly stop. "Wait, are you serious?"

Krory became immediately emberassed. "Oh, goodness I'm sorry I said anything, you dont-"

"Krory! I've been harboring feelings for you for awhile, I just didn't think..."

"You didn't think I'd feel the same?"

"No! I'm so shocked, I don't know how to react! I-"

Krory slipped around the table and took you into an embrace. "I'm happy to hear you feel the same (y/n)."

And the shopkeeper grinned to herself as Krory and you cuddled with one another, occasionally sneaking a bite of the immense meal the exorcist had ordered.
