He was leaning against the brick wall of the school with that damn cigarette in his mouth. Sam Boggs was the school bad boy. The boy all the girls wanted and the boy all the guys wanted to be. He was wearing his black t-shirt and jeans that hung loose on his hips. His shaggy hair was messy. He placed the cigarette between his lips and lit it "it's a shame" my mother interfered my thoughts
"What is?" I asked looking at her
"Kids now a days smoking cigarettes and crap" she shook her head in disgust "I hope you don't do it Rosemary"
"I don't mother" I smiled kissing her cheek and opening the car door
"Good, have a nice day sweetie" she waved.
I slammed the door and watched as she pulled away from the drop-off area. I fixed my back pack and my skirt "hi Rosemary" my friend waved
"Hi Kianna" I waved back making my way towards her
"How was summer?" she asked
"Good, I went to New York with my grandma" I pulled my back pack off my shoulder and set it on the ground and fiddled with my lock
"God he's hot" Kianna drooled over Sam
"I guess" I shrugged looking over my shoulder at him. I tucked my tanktop into my skirt and buttoned my cardigan back up
"I don't understand you" she rolled her eyes leaning against the lockers "he's just mmm"
"Whatever you say" I flashed a smile at her grabbing my notebook and pencil shutting my locker
"So what's your first period?" she asked ripping the paper out of my hands
"Mr. Tilley"
"Health, you're a junior and you're just now taking health?" she laughed
"Shut up, I was too busy getting into AP classes to care about health" I defended myself
"Oh that's right I forgot I'm dealing with Ms. Smarty pants" she teased placing the paper back onto my notebook "I have to go this way" she pointed down the three hundred hallway
"Bye KiKi" I waved turning down the other hallway
"Hi Mr. Tilley" I smiled sitting in my seat
"Hello Ms. Jones" he waved "how was your summer?"
"Good, and yours?" I asked back setting my books in the too right corner of my desk
"Fantastic, the wife and I had our first kid" he glowed
"Yay, what's the name?"
"Elizabeth Jane Tilley" he smiled taking a picture off his desk
"She's adorable" I smiled looking up at him
"Yeah, she's a cutie" he smiled looking at the picture
The bell rang and soon enough students came piling into the classroom. Along with Sam. His tall figure slid into the seat next to me "ahh hello children" Mr. Tilley smiled "I hope your summers were just as great as mine"
"Oh yeah" Sam shook his head "spent the whole summer working" he leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms
"Sounds entertaining Mr. Boggs" he head nodded at him "why don't we all introduce our selfs. Look at the person next to you and say your name and one thing about you"
"I'm Sam Boggs and I hate school" he looked at me. His brown eyes shining.
"I'm Rosemary Jones and I like school" I scooted up in my seat a little so my feet were touching the ground. Being 5'3 my feet barely touched the ground whenever I sat on something.
"Nice to meet you Rose" he winked
"Don't call me that. My name is Rosemary" I hates being called Rose. My name was Rosemary and I preferred that over any nickname.
"Whatever you say Rose.....Mary" he smiled looking back at Mr. Tilley
Get ready for the longest semester of your life Rosemary. I thought to my self.
