SAMs pov

I stayed in the waiting room all night, waiting for the doctors to come and tell me what was going on. Rose had suffered from a seizure the night before. I closed my eyes and tried to get a little sleep, knowing I wouldn't be able to "Mr. Boggs" the nurse said placing a hand on my shoulder

"Yeah" I jumped, startled by the sudden touch

"Would you like to see rosemary?" she gently asked

"Yes" I exhaustedly said following her to the room. I watched as she slept "is she going to be ok?"

"Just spend time with her" the nurse said walking away

"Rose" I quivered sitting in the seat next to her bed "I love you"

She grabbed my hand and rubbed her thumb over my hand "I love you too sam" she gasped "promise you'll always be happy"

"Of course, as long as I have" she cut me off

"Without me. promise you'll be happy without me" she cried

"Rose, you're going to be ok" I bit my lip

"Sam" she looked at me "promise me?"

"I promise" I felt a hot tear fall down my face as she smiled and closed her eyes

*BEEP* went the heart monitor "Mr. Boggs you need to go" the nurse yelled rushing me out of the room

"Is she ok?" I yelled trying to push through her

"Go sit down" she yelled closing the door behind her

I sat in the waiting room for hours. He mom sat in front of me and Kianna next to me "Rosemary's family"

We all jumped up "I'm sorry" she looked at us "Rosemary's lungs failed"

"God dammit" I yelled standing up and punching the wall "god dammit"

"Sam" kianna said holding me "it's ok"

Roses funeral was December 5th. Her favorite flowers filled the room. Her favorite songs played through the room. Her trophies hung along the walls and she laid in her favorite outfit. The same outfit she had on the day we met.

"I'm Sam and although Rose and I only knew each other for a portion of the time you guys knew her, she gave me everything. The last time I was at one of these, rose was with me. Holding my hand and keeping me calm. Rose was home for me. I never had a figure like her in my life. She gave me forever in just one year. As I stand here I realize rose was my life, the love of my life. And I'll never have the chance to tell her how much she meant to me. She'll never Beatle to go to her senior prom, start a career, have kids. I would do anything to switch spots with her. She had such a huge future. Rose was not just a human, but a saint. And now god has opened his gates for one amazing girl" I said looking over at her casket "I love you Rosemary" I whispered "I love you to the moon and back. And I wall forever try and hold my promise to you" I looked back at all the people as years rolled down my face "you know it's true what they say, you never realize what you have until it's gone"

I walked back to my seat, next to Kianna "that was beautiful, Sam" she whispered holding my hand "she loved you more than anything"

"What am I supposed to do" I broke down "she was my only sense of home"

"Shhh, you still have us" she whispered holding my head to her shoulder "we still have her" she kissed the top of my head "we need to be strong for her"
