Another day in 2011
...
The fresh morning air blew softly on his face and the bright sun shone through the window on half of his face, as if to wake him up. It's another day in 2011.
He rolled lazily over to look at the clock sitting on a white table next to his bed. 7.39am. The clock stated. He lay back on his pillow, starring at the ceilling, letting his mind wonder aimlessly. Some unimportant stuffs crossing his mind. And he's been thinking about that.
"What should I eat today..."
Was one of the unimportant stuffs he's been thinking. His parents was still on vacation and his older brother was in his university. So, there he was. Living. Alone.
He sat on the edge of his bed. To be honest, he doesn't want to wake up. He wants to continue sleeping but life isn't all about sleep. Sure, sleep is the best thing to do after graduating from high school. After, spending his sleepless nights studying for college entrance exam. Sure, the best thing to do after all that was sleep.
But, he has to check his email and post box. Wishing that his application for universities have been accepted. Wishing he got some offers too.
He spacing out for a few more minutes before making a move. He grabs his spec sitting on a white table, next to a clock. He looks at the clock once again. 8.07am. He slowly makes his way to the bathroom and take a deep breath to feel the fresh air.
After spending half an hour preparing himself, he walks downstair and makes his way to the kitchen. He was greeted by a white dog with a tiny tail. His lovely dog named Jjangu. He poured some of dog's food in Jjangu's bowl. He kneeled on the floor, kissing his one and only lovely dog. He observes Jjangu quietly with a fond simile plastered on his face. Jjangu devoured half of his food aggressively.
"Wow... relax dog, you're gonna choke if you eat like that. As expected, we're soulmates Jjangu-yah. We're made for each other and food is love." he said to his dog.
He strokes Jjangu's fur softly and give him another kiss before standing up again. He stood in the centre of the kitchen and wondering for few seconds before decided to check the fridge to make himself a breakfast. He opened the fridge's door, bent over and peered inside to see what is left. 2 eggs, kimchi, some hotdogs and nuggets. That's all left in the fridge.
"ahh.. I've to go out today and buy some groceries" he murmured to himself.
He grabs the eggs and some nuggets from the fridge and fry them. He makes himself a simple breakfast this morning. He eats his breakfast happily and calmly. Chewing the food slowly to taste the differences between each of them. He took another bite before his phone rang.
"Mom" was stated on his phone's screen
"Hello, Seokjin-ah. How have you been?" his mom started the conversation.
"Hello mom, I'm fine here. Actually I'm quite lonely here since you and dad went there but its okay. I'm eating my breakfast right now" he replied to his mom warmly.
"Ahh, I'm sorry for disturbing you eating your breakfast. Me and your dad are having fun here and we will be back in 1 or 2 weeks" his mom informed him.
"It's okay mom, you're not disturbing me at all. Glad to here you're having fun there. Don't forget to buy me and Jjangu a souvenir mom. We will wait for you" he stated.
"Alright son. Take care there and don't be sick. I'll meet you in one or two more weeks. Love you." was all she said to Jin before she ends the call.
