Twenty One | Unexpected

When we stopped eating jellies, Daniel showed me something on his phone.

"Whoa, this place looks nice! It's the sea!" I chirped loudly and imagined myself running through the red tower with the breeze of the sea against my skin.

"Do you want to go there?" 

"We're already headed there, right?" I raised my brows at him.

"Yeah." 

"I knew it." 

"Dani-yah, do you want me to open the roof? But it might be cold though." 

"Open it." 

The car was going fast and he handed me his other pair of sunglasses. It was pretty cold but we were not minding it because the scenery was very pretty. I also took a picture of Daniel driving until he turned to look at the camera and showed off his bunny teeth. 

"You looked cool earlier, why did you show that cute teeth off?" He snorted at my remark and continued driving. 

"It's the sea!" I literally jumped out of the car and ran to the shore like a little kid.

"Yah, why are you so happy to see the sea when you're practically staying in Jeju which is totally more extravagant?" He crossed his arms at me and placed a hoodie on my shoulder. 

"You removed it earlier, wear it again." I obeyed to him immediately and stared at the waves crashing. 

The air was pretty cold but there were a few people who were preparing to dip in the sea. 

"They're swimming so early!" I gasped as I looked at the sight of them.

"They're having fun though." I shrugged my shoulders and looked to the other side and I couldn't help but feel embarrassed for the couple who was smooching each other first thing in the morning. 

"Isn't it too early for that?" I tugged on Daniel's shirt and pointed at the couple who was pretty far but still too visible for us to see what they were doing in an open area. 

"They probably don't even care if people watch." I gave him a look as he innocently dragged me a bit farther.

"Ya Kang Daniel, you just imagined yourself making out with someone by the sea right?" He stopped his step and looked back at me. 

I was trying to release the heat that went up my cheeks after seeing such a scene by trying to joke, well I'm not really good at it but I just don't why I said it. 

"Yeah I did." I almost tripped in a non-existing obstacle on the sand  when he responded.

"What?" I was not expecting that kind of answer.

"And you what Dani?" He really faced me back and pulled me closer to him.

"Who knows? I might even do that with you." He was too close for me that I felt horrified at such contact so I turned so red that he laughed at my reaction.

"You're so fun to tease Dani." We continued to walk by the sea with me and my constant smacking to his shoulder.

"You should not do jokes like that Kang Daniel!" I was very taken aback. 

"Why?" It made me even more nervous when he stopped walking and turned serious.

"Be-be-because I-" He intentionally pinched my cheeks without consent too.

 "You can't even answer me properly, see?" Now he held both my cheeks and continued to pinch them.

I don't know why I was letting him pinch my fluffy cheeks though.

"I have a new hobby now." He smiled like a bunny again and played with my beloved peaches of cheeks .

"What?"

"Pinching your cheeks, they're very soft." I chuckled at him.

"Yes they are." I did not notice that my smile was from ear-to ear. 

"Let me do this once." He said out of the blue. 

I was left dumbfounded because he was just holding the both of my cheeks. However, I realized it later when I felt him leaning closer until I couldn't bear to see what he would do because I knew where his lips were headed. 

To my forehead. 

Of course I felt his soft lips, they were unexpectedly right on my forehead. I wanted to slap myself for enjoying it too, it felt so right that he did a gesture in a moment that was right. 

I remembered all the events when I got drunk, I remember it all. It's appearing on my mind from time to time and I want to hide myself every time I remember it.

This gesture that Daniel did though, it's warming my heart. Even though  I still have certain complications with Jaehyun, I feel horrible for having this feeling in my stomach whenever I'm with Daniel.

It is actually driving me mad.

"But Daniel, why did you bring me here?" I exclaimed a few moments after.

"I just wanted to show you the place where I spent my mornings before." He was holding my hand, and I was not complaining.

It just kind of happened when we were talking earlier, like the pinching of cheeks and all? The mood was so nice that I did not bother on complaining when he held my hand because they were absolutely warm. 

I enjoyed our morning walk by the sea and went to return the car to fit the dress that was for the wedding. We were supposed to buy it but Daniel's hyung had already prepared a shop that was exclusively offering the appropriate dress for the event so we only had to go there now. 

"We're here." I raised my head after dozing off for a few minutes and went out of the car with him.

The shop was very modern and cozy, dresses were beautifully placed in different sides and the creations were very nice.

"Welcome. You must be Kang Daniel and this is your?"

"Girlfriend." With the events that happened earlier, my heartbeat skyrocketed.

Our hands were interlocked when we entered the shop and I wanted to be mad at myself for being happy that this was happening. Although this was for pretending and is valid for a very short time.

"Please wait for a bit, your dress will be here in a few minutes." We both sat on a chair and waited.

A girl suddenly went outside of the fitting room with a lovely dress that was hugging her body. She was very stunning snd the dress was complimenting her appearance. I looked at her with curiousity until her eyes landed on Daniel and I.

Her reaction made me turn towards Daniel and I realized that they knew each other.

"Hani." Daniel stood up from his seat and I was left dunbfounded.

"Oh Daniel, I rarely see my fiance these days. You're so busy with your schedules." I gaped at her statement.

Fiance?

Then what was all this pretending for?

Oooh, what if Daniel really had a fiance already? Like an agreement between families that is kept private only?
