--= Felix's + POV =--
He was supposed to be here by now.... My feet paced across the porch, constantly eyeing the road in case I spotted Jack but he just wasn't coming. I glanced nervously at the time again, it's already been an hour, it usually takes him ten minutes to just walk here, even at a slow pace.
We just left each other this morning, unless something happened? He didn't sound as cheery but, still, he's usually on time. Biting my lip, getting just about ready to call the cops about a missing child I saw him from the end of the street clutching his eye with one of his hands.
My heart leaping in my throat, anxiety swelling in my stomach I leapt off the porch and dashed over to him. Slowing myself down last minute cause I knew I would barrel him over if I didn't. Jack's visible eye widening to see me running, he flinched getting ready to be trampled over but it never came.
Peeking one eye open and looking up at me, his face fell into a guilty expression when he saw my face. I obviously didn't look very happy.
"Where were you?!"
"I was...walking..." Jack mumbled, casting his gaze downwards at the cement, it ate me up inside, this isn't like him. Staring at the hand over his eye, I decided to bring it up.
"Jack, what happened to your eye." Reaching a hand out to try and grab the one covering his face, he quickly smacked my hand away and stumbled backwards frantically, almost scared.
"I-It's fine! I just...I'm allergic to something in the air, and one eye is acting up more than the other is..." Trying to lock eye contact, he kept looking off to the sides, obviously not wanting to challenge me or push the subject any further than we already had.
Sighing and admitting defeat, I took his other hand and led him to the door, intertwining our fingers.
"Come on then, let's go inside and watch some anime." Shooting him a smile, he quickly forced one back and followed after me. I turned towards the door, but I swear I saw something glowing green for a split second when I turned to look back at him....
He pretty much passed out instantly after the first episode we watched, his head was resting on the back of the couch and the blankets were surrounding him, shielding him from the outside world. It caused my heart to drop.
What happened, this wasn't like him, he never calls me to hang out, I always have to sneak into Mark's house just to see him. It isn't fair, I want to be able to see Jack too, but that isn't what I'm worried about right now.
My eyes glanced over to the phone, and I debated on calling Mark, but I pushed the thought away. They could be fighting, or Mark's in college right now or doing something important. I shouldn't bother him, and I could just ask Jack when he wakes up, if he's in a better mood anyways.
Glancing down at my wrist, my eyes widened to see burn marks where he scratched me, they were pretty much scars already. My eyes darting up to Jack's sleeping face, he looked so peaceful but... I couldn't help but feel scared now...
I'm sure he didn't mean to use that much strength at all, he also had one eye covered so he couldn't have possibly meant to actually hit me. I would've done the same.
But smacking a hand away doesn't cause someone else to get scars from your nails....
A thought popped into my head, thinking maybe I should call the authorities or anything, but that's insane because he's just a kid...
Why the fuck would the authorities know anything about him, maybe the asylum but I don't know the number and which asylum he's from anyways. It's all just... It's all really nerve wrecking and complicated.
