-= Jack's + POV =—
We continued this sort of routine until finally Mark woke up, and when he came down the stairs he didn't seem the slightest bit surprised to see Felix in the house, but when he saw cry, it was a bit of a different expression.
His face was showing a mixture of emotions, one was confusion, the other anger, and the last guilt, i suppose he couldn't find which one to be the main so he just stood there avoiding eye contact with Cry.
His back was slouched and brushing against the wall that cradled the staircase which lead, of course, upstairs, and as he kept trying to not look at Cry, he kept shooting worried looks at me.
Trying to brush them off, the awkward situation was starting to bare down on me, but things only got worse once Cry went up to mark and smiled, leaning on the wall beside him.
"Morning Mark."
"Uhh, good morning." Mark clearly taken aback by Cry's calmness, he dashed a glance at me quickly with a look of plea but was interrupted as Cry continued to talk.
"I just wanted to apologize about my party, I didn't mean for things to get so out of hand." Mark squirming where he stood, he looked away and towards the window in the living room, seeming like he was trying to keep his calm.
"That's very sweet Cry, but you know that none of what happened was your fault." Mark looking up at me bewildered, I held eye contact for a moment before beckoning Cry over and placing a hand on his shoulder, sympathizing with him.
"I provided the drinks Jack..." Cry pointed out, looking around the room to see Felix was asleep on top of Chica who was spread out looking quite silly, a small grin raised on my face as I turned back to him.
"Yes, but we were supposed to remain responsible and we didn't."
"I suppose so, but I still feel guilty for the events that took place that night."
"You don't have to." I assured.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive." Cry scanning to see if he could win the fight, h yielded, and decided to admit defeat.
"Well, alright, but feel free to accept my apology Mark, it is still sincere." Sharing a smile at Cry, I couldn't help but grin widely which earned a scoff from Mark.
"Of course it is." Mark grumbled, casting him a glare, he quickly changed his tone and quieted down, going over and walking to the couch.
Patting Cry's shoulder for the last time, I walked over to the couch and sat beside mark, intertwining our hands together which made him look all the more better.
Though still a bit grumpy, I could see he was trying to hold back a smile at the very least. That's my baby bear.
