"TAEHYUNGIEEE," Jimin squeals as his best friend walks up to him through the crowd. "I MISSED YOU!"

Taehyung is pulled into a bone-crushing hug and he wonders where such a small person gets so much strength. "Yah, yah, yah,"he says. "Stop. You're suffocating me."

Jimin ignores his unenthusiastic nerd of a friend. "It's senior year." He sighs a looks up dreamily towards nothing in particular. "I promise, this is going to be a good year." His head snaps towards Taehyung and he looked pointedly at him. "You are not going to waste this year with your nose in those books. Or I will burn. Them. All."

Taehyung rolls his eyes in disinterest. "The jamless midget wants to make friends," he says, his voice laced with sarcasm. In return, he earns a scowl from Jimin and a tight pinch on his arm.

"C'mon,"he says and make their way into the hall. Senior Year.

Taehyung wasn't necessarily excited about senior year. It was just another year of hard work and dedication so he could pay is hyung back for all he had done. He had lost his parents in a car accident when he was 12, and Namjoon had taken up all the responsibilities of Jisoo and Taehyung and done a marvellous job in raising them. So Taehyung had poured his soul into work so that he could make his hyung proud of him.

Taehyung walked up to his locker with Jimin and they quickly took the books they needed and made their way to class. Jimin took his usual seat beside Hoseok, who was the leader of the dance crew. They were very fond of each other and acknowledged each other's talent.

Taehyung walked to his own seat and looked into his planner, flipping through to reorganise his daily tasks in his head. The pressure of being the Class President wasn't lost on him and he had to try his best to not lose his mind.

"Tae," said a familiar voice. Taehyung looked up to find his friend, Baekhyun with a huge grin on his face. He sat down next to the brown haired boy and kept his books on the desk. "How have you been?"

"I've been good," Taehyung said, truthfully. His brother took such good care of him, he couldn't complain.

"You look good," Baekhyun said and looked down immediately, his cheeks rushing with colour.

Taehyung blushed. "Thanks."

The class started and their English teacher, Mrs. Lee, called out on Taehyung a good 15 minutes before class was over. "Taehyung, would you please go over to the Headmasters office and give him these data sheets?"

"Right away, Mrs. Lee," said the boy and bowed respectfully before leaving. He quickly walked through the hall, completed his task and was heading to back to class when his day seemed to take a turn.

"Well, well, well," said a voice. "Look who it is." Jeon Jungkook stood leaning against his locker, chewing on gum and smirking in Taehyung's direction.

"How's life been, Kim?" He said and then added a snarky remark. "Oh wait, you don't have one." Jungkook seemed very pleased at his joke and chuckled in delight, but Taehyung just rolled his eyes.

"Don't you have better things to do, like beat up kids or something?" He said and looked at the younger with distaste.

His sarcastic comment made Jungkook more amused by the minute. "I'm not an asshole, I don't beat up kids."

"Look asshole enough to me," Taehyung mumbled and left to go back to class.

Jungkook was left alone in front of his locker and he stared at the older's head as he walked away. He chuckled to himself as he thought of their encounter and he wondered why the whole situation amused him instead of making him angry.

Jeon Jungkook had a reputation for beating up anyone who disagreed with him. He was used to the attention of both females and males alike and his whole deal was that he didn't date people. Sure, he'd had a few nights but hardly with anyone in school. His ego made him hold all is schoolmates inferior to himself and he enjoyed being treated like he was special. After all, his father was a trustee of Seoul High and one the richest, most successful businessmen in Seoul.

He spit his now-bland gum into the trash can and leaned against the lockers, closing his eyes and thinking of the brown haired boy who had grabbed his attention by the way he does not give a fuck about who Jungkook is or what he can do.

School had ended and Taehyung was on his way back home, biting into a nutrition bar and staring at the trees surrounding him. He soon reached his house and smiled happily when he saw his hyung's Jaguar was parked in the driveway. "I'm home!" He said and headed straight for the fridge.

"Taetae," Namjoon said and ruffled his little brothers hair. "Where's Jisoo?"

"I don't know," he said. "I was tired so I left earlier than others."

Namjoon hummed. "Jimin wants to hang out with me today..." he added, unsure. "You think I should go?"

Namjoon looked at him in confusion. "Of course you should, Tae!" He said. "You worked so hard, you should have fun too. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

Taehyung groaned. "But I'm not Jack. Just say no, I don't wanna go out anyways. I have Netflix and Wattpad to keep me company."

"No," Namjoon said. "Go out. Jin will come over tonight, so I want my privacy. Jisoo will go over to the neighbors' till then."

Taehyung giggled and poked his hyung playfully. "Ahem, privacy."

Namjoon just chuckled and shook his head. "I've made ham sandwiches and I have to leave for a few hours, I have another bratty model to meet."

"Okay, hyung," Taehyung said. "I'll probably leave at 8 or something, so I'll see you tomorrow. I'll be back before 2."

"1."

"1."

Namjoon patted his dongsaeng and left. When Taehyung heard the car engine roar and the sound fade in a distance, he called Jimin. "Jiminie," he said sweetly. "Hyung told me not to go out tonight. I'm sorry but-"

"Shut up," Jimin said. "I called Namjoon hyung before I asked you, and he said yes. I'll pick you up at 7:30." And he hung up.

Taehyung groaned in frustration and dragged himself up to his room, falling asleep before he could even think of any excuses to avoid the whole outing.
