Jungkook sat on the bleachers near the football field, tapping the space beside him with his fingers and nodding away to his electro-pop playlist. Yugyeom sat beside him, scrolling through his phone.

"Jungkook." The said boy stared ahead, deaf to Yugyeom's call.

"Jungkook."

"Yah! Jungkook-ah!" An earphone was pulled out off Jungkook's ear. The younger scowled in annoyance.

"What?" He wasn't quite interested in making any conversation with anyone at the moment, especially because his mind was preoccupied by the thoughts of a certain 17 year old, brown haired boy who resented him.

"Don't you have detention?" Yugyeom said and frowned.

"Fuck." Jungkook rushed off into the school building without another word and by the time he found himself near his homeroom, he was panting heavily.

"Sorry, I'm late." He huffed and his eyes found Taehyung, who paid absolutely no attention to him.

Mrs. Jung looked at him with distaste. "Yes, you are. I cannot possibly imagine how you can never be on time, young man. If this happens one more time-"

"What're you gonna do?" Jungkook said nonchalantly. "Give me detention?"

The students snickered. All except one, who looked up at Jungkook with a scowl and shook his head. Mrs. Jung sighed and looked down at her book.

Jungkook took his seat behind Taehyung, flicking his pen off the desk as he passed him. The older ignored him, and his falling pen, barely moving a muscle as Jungkook dropped his bag onto the desk as loudly as he could.

Fifteen minutes later, Jungkook had no clue why he had been so mesmerised by the back of a nerd's head and mentally cursed himself for acting like a loser. Jeon Jungkook, you're not going to pay attention to nerds, loners or losers. Arasseo? Arasseo.

"I'm going to take my leave now," Mrs. Jung said. "You're most welcome to talk and cause a ruckus if you want to spend the rest of your semester here after school."

As soon as the door closed after the teacher left, Jungkook's hand reached for a strand of Taehyung's hair, almost like a reflex, and Jungkook cooed in a low voice. "Did you miss daddy? I missed my baby boy so much."

Taehyung sat frozen for a moment before standing up and moving to a seat in the corner of the classroom, away from the bratty rich kid. Jungkook shook his head in amusement at first, and facepalmed a moment later as he realised he couldn't even keep his hands to himself for a second in the presence of Kim Taehyung.

Didn't you just decide you were going to not pay attention to him? You had one job.

Nevertheless, he followed his baby boy and took a seat beside him. "Hey," he began. Taehyung didn't spare him a single glance, engrossed in a novel which was bigger than his head. "You're avoiding me."

Taehyung finally looked towards him, annoyance clear on his face. "And for good reason." He looked back to his novel again.

"Yeah? And what is this reason?"

"You're annoying."

"How is that a reason?" Jungkook huffed.

"It's reason enough for me. Now shut up." The brown haired boy was in no mood to hold a conversation, much less an argument, with the one person that got on his nerves. Which was a big deal, considering he was very patient.

The bell rang soon after and Taehyung rushed out, Jungkook following close behind him. "Yah! Why don't you-" The raven haired boy stopped in his tracks.
