Mia POV

It was too much. Nicholas was like any other person I've met. How can he be an angel. And if he was, how could an angel loved me.

I was still sitting on the edge of the bed while I saw him busily packed some things and went out of the room.

Then I realized that I need to help him. He moved faster and faster. There's even one time I could swear that he moved as fast as the blink of the eyes, from the kitchen to the bedroom and the kitchen again.

"I'll call nana and your mom and dad."

"Yes, please tell them to meet us at Nana's."

After confusing conversation with his parents and nana, we got in the car and drove to Nana's home. On the way, Nicholas held my hand and kept saying that everything will be alright.

"I still don't understand," I told him. "If you're an angel, what are you doing here with me?"

He looked at me with sadness in his eyes like the whole worlds burden was on his shoulder. "I'm an angel who fell in love, with you Mia. It's not common for an angel to fall for a human girl, well at least not anymore. But some of us does."

"But how? I mean, you who have seen the world before it was even created could fall in love with someone, a mortal, human, who only live for few years compare to your million years age. I don't understand."

"Why is it so difficult for you to understand. Even the Creator loves human that he has done a lot for all of you. Even us angels were summoned to protect you all." He said muttering to himself.

Mia felt big headache, as if her head was going to explode. Her mind couldn't contain that kind of knowledge and now she's overwhelmed.

When they arrived at Nana's, the weather was getting even worse. They ran inside and saw Nick's parents and nana were already in the living room waiting for them.

"Nick, what's wrong? Why you asked us to come here in the middle of the night?" Isaac asked.

"I'm sorry," he said, "there will be..."

The sound of thunder was so loud that made him stopped talking. The house shook a bit.

"I never thought rosewood can have this kind of weather." Nana said in unbelieved tone.

"Dad, help me to take some planks." Without waiting his dad's respond he went outside to the piles of planks and carried some of them.

His dad followed him in confusion and when they returned inside he asked again, "Nick, what the hell is going on?"

The sound of thunder was getting stronger and somehow it sounded as if it hit my ears directly. Nick looked so worried and distracted.

"Not now dad, I promised you, I will explain. But for now, I need you to nail these planks to block all doors and windows. We need to barricade the house." He said firmly. People easily considered that as a joke, like we're in a horror movie or something. But maybe deep down they knew something is definitely wrong, they followed him without a single question asked anymore.

I went to the back door with him and helped him blocked every access there. His parents went to the rooms and do that. We then went to the living room again and nailed the windows.

"Leave the front door first. We can block it with the shelf and sofa." Nick said when his father was going to nail it.

After all was done, we sat down and we were all so tense. It's raining hard now and Nick started to explain to them. They looked at him in disbelieve but then when Nick showed his glorious form, they knew it's true. They were so scared. But then nana said, "if it's time, then it's time. Don't worry about anything."
