Mia POV

I kept on rewinding what happened last night while sitting in the car. We agreed not to separate but Nicholas wanted to go somewhere alone. Why? It isn't like him changing his mind. There must be something.

"Go to your apartment again," I said to James.

He stared back at me while stopping the car for the red light. "What is it?"

"He must have found something in your research."

"What?"

I shook my head, "don't know. That's what we need to find out so that we could find him."

"Mom, you do know that it's dangerous to be there."

"I don't care, James!" I yelled at him.

He looked shocked. I never raised my voice to him at all, not even once.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. It's just..."

He touched my arm and pulled me to him, "it's okay mom. I understand. He's your husband. And he's missing now, because of me."

"No," I said, pulling myself from him, "it's not because of you. He cared about you. He was ready to leave me and Jacob in rosewood so he could find you."

I turned and saw the traffics light changed to green light and James did too. He drove again and we went to his apartment. We browsed his research.

"I think I know where he is mom." He said to me while pulling a paper. "I never realized it. They shared same last name."

He showed me the name of sir Richard wright, an author, apparently.

"Mom, do you know who's Nicholas' father? Is it Richard wright?"

He never mentioned his father's name. "I don't know. But his father is a lawyer not a writer."

"We can check on it. I have his address anyway. Let's go."

It was located quite far from the city so it took more than half an hour. It was still early in the morning and James didn't sleep all night. His eyes were glowing constantly now. "Can you control your power?" I asked him.

"What do you mean?" He asked me.

"Your eyes, they're glowing constantly now. I remember, your father, he seemed to be able to control his power. His eyes were not glowing all the time. Only when he wanted them too."

"I don't know mom. Maybe yes, Hanna's eyes are rarely glowing too. Only when she's upset."

"How do you know about that place? I mean the sanctuary."

"Well, I was seeing things, hearing things and was almost insane because of those things. I went to the church. I met Michael there. He told me about the place. He took me there. I met Hanna the next day. She has been staying there since she was a baby. Apparently almost all of them were not been taken care of their human parent. I'm pretty lucky, I guess."

"But why?"

"Some of them died during birth, some of them died after. Weird though, I was sure that Michael said they were hunted down by ..."

He suddenly stayed silent, looked like he was thinking. Then out of the blue, he stopped his car and screamed, "SHIT."

"What's wrong?"

He turned the car around in a haste and drove so fast in different direction.

"James, what's wrong?"

"Oh god, I'm sorry. Mom, I'm sorry. You must return to rosewood now with Jacob."

"What? Why?" I asked him, but he didn't answer. "I won't leave without Nicholas."
